Rainbow Six Siege Y9S2 Operator Balances
Addressing the dominance of certain Defenders, Operation New Blood brings balancing updates for Fenrir and Solis.
Fenrir
Fenrir's F-NATT Dread Mines have been reduced to four, with two activation codes to deploy among them, and the mines will no longer be bulletproof in any state.
This change aims to decrease the number of active mines and make them easier for Attackers to remove. However, once a mine is destroyed, Fenrir will be refunded the code, allowing him to more effectively utilize his full complement of mines.
Solis
Solis's SPEC-IO Electro Sensor will no longer be usable during the prep phase, giving Attackers more room for droning.
During the action phase, the gadget will have a reduced duration of 10 seconds and a reduced range of 12 meters. Additionally, it will need to be fully recharged before each activation.
Lastly, Solis's Impact Grenade option is being replaced with barbed wire, which will now damage Operators as they move through it.

Operation New Blood also brings renovations to Stadium Alpha and Stadium Bravo, with the removal of bulletproof glass in many spots and layout changes to improve the defensibility of certain objective sites.
The Versus AI map pool is expanding to include Coastline and Nighthaven Labs, and new AI Operators available as opponents include Vigil and Thunderbird. Players can now play Versus AI as Ace, Blackbeard, Hibana, and Deimos.

New Operators
One of the most notable additions in Operation New Blood is the Recruit remaster, which introduces two new operators to fill the role: Striker on the attacking side and Sentry on the defending side.
Although these former Recruits don't possess unique gadgets, they bring a fresh twist to the game by allowing players to equip two different secondary gadgets, opening up new tactical possibilities and electrifying play-making opportunities.
