All of us who’ve been playing games throughout the years have gotten used to seeing our favorite games collaborate with various other media outlets, be they fast food chains, movies, anime, and so on. However, it’ll be an understatement to say I was shocked to see that Reverse: 1999, a gacha game that has mostly slipped under the radar for a lot of people, managed to get a collaboration with none other than Discovery Channel.
Although the collaboration is nothing that major, it is still an interesting step to take for the game. And it is also good news for the players, as we’ll be getting two new skins out of this event. Let’s check them out below!

Collaboration Idea
The theme for this collaboration is set as [Around the Third Rock]. As such, this collaboration will aim to create a unique set of "immersive role-playing characters" who would reenact historical and cultural moments through a documentary-style presentation.

Tooth Fairy Skin
One of the skins we’ll be receiving from this collaboration is a skin for Tooth Fairy known as the [Fairies Dancing at Dawn]. This is a skin inspired by the Celts, including Celtic-inspired hair and custom designs. This is what the developers had to say about this skin.
Her look features Celtic-inspired hair and costume designs, along with clover motifs as symbols of local culture. Her floral crown is composed of seasonal flora like hawthorn, pinecones, cedar, and figs, which bloom around May. Using soft fabrics like hemp and gauze, fueled by a vintage British fashion aesthetic and a handcrafted fairy necklace with Celtic knotwork, we aimed to reflect a unique interpretation of Tooth Fairy's integration into local traditions.
The skin certainly captures Tooth Fairy’s beauty while also managing to fully take inspiration from this amazing collaboration.

Getian Skin
Getian’s skin is known as the [Herald of Horus] and is a skin inspired by Egyptian mythology. Here is what the developers had to say about this skin.
For Getian, we explored aesthetic connections between ancient civilizations. His design resonates with Horus from Egyptian mythology, particularly the shared symbolism of Horus's sun and moon eyes and Getian's yin-yang eyes. We also updated this shy and introverted character with bold lapis-blue feather accents and a regal, lightweight falcon headdress, and his original design's branch perch was replaced with a temple-inspired pillar, reflecting Egyptian architectural motifs.
Ultimately, cross-cultural synergy was our priority for this collaboration—the design elements naturally evolved from there.
Similar to Tooth Fairy’s skin, Getian’s skill beautifully captures the essence of the past and manages to relay it to our screen. The skin is vibrant and eye-catching, making it a perfect fit for Getian.
The developers note that while this is their first collaboration, it is only just the beginning and that they are planning on launching a second phase that will feature “equally fascinating characters and themes.”
