Before diving into the world of Co-Op Multiplayer, players must first progress through the game's early stages. Co-op multiplayer becomes available after completing the prologue and the first mission, "Follow Your Blade Twin." During this mission, players will need to visit the Pleasure District, meet Taka Murayama, and have a conversation with Ryoma.

Following this, Ryoma will invite the player to meet him outside a Longhouse in Yokohama, which will serve as the player's base of operations. Inside the Longhouse, players can respec their character, relax with companions, and change their appearance. Most importantly, this is where the co-op multiplayer feature is unlocked.

How to Use Co-Op Multiplayer

Once inside the Longhouse, a menu will appear, presenting several options. To access co-op multiplayer, players should navigate to the "Cooperate" option located beneath the "Talk" option in the main menu.

Clicking on "Cooperate" will open a new menu with three choices:

  1. Join: This option allows players to join a lobby without any specific conditions, enabling them to play with random players on any difficulty, mission, or region.
  2. Recruit: Players can use this option to invite others to join their missions. It offers customization options such as setting the difficulty, mission, region, and the number of available ally slots (up to two). Additionally, players can create a password to restrict access to friends only.
  3. Match: This option enables players to search for and join lobbies based on specific criteria like mission, difficulty, and region.

Players can also initiate co-op multiplayer when starting certain missions by selecting the "Cooperate" option on the mission menu.
