The team behind Roblox's hit game mode Dress to Impress has been listening closely to player feedback. Their Discord channel is always open for recommendations and complaints. This time around they’ve come up with a solution that will make lots of DTI players happy. It’s all about keeping seasonal items accessible while solving some of the issues players have brought up, like cluttered dressing rooms and lag in the main map. Here’s the plan they’re working on:
Table of Contents
Removing Rotating Seasonal Items
First up, the rotating seasonal item system will be removed from DTI. That means any seasonal items added after 2025 will stay available as long as you played during the event. The items won't disappear afterward. This is an amazing change.

Introducing Seasonal Chests
But how will they pull off so many items without making a mess in the UI? To keep things organized and reduce lag, the DTI team is planning to add themed “chests” (or similar objects) around the map. For example, we'll be able to use a chest for Valentine’s Day, one for Halloween, one for Winter, and so on.
Here’s how it’ll work:
- During the event: Seasonal items will still be displayed on the main map, letting everyone enjoy the festive vibe.
- After the event ends: The items will move into their themed chest. If you played during the event, you’ll be able to open the chest, see the items inside, and use them anytime.
These chests will be decorated to match their theme, so it’ll be very easy to tell where to find what you’re looking for—that is, if you know exactly what you need.
The Old Seasonal Items Aren't Going to Change
This new system will only apply to seasonal items added in 2025 and beyond. This means that items already in the game will stay in their current spot, and non-seasonal items will continue to be part of the map permanently.

Code Item Button
Yes, it's coming back! Once again, we're getting the “code items” feature! The team is planning to add a button on-screen so you can easily access these items—something players have been asking for.
Granny Dress
And finally, some great news for longtime players: the reworked granny dress will be returning to the map permanently with the Valentine’s update!
Final Thoughts
The team is really excited about this plan, and they’re hoping you are too. It sure sounds good. The dressing rooms were never fan-favorites and seeing the devs finally take steps away from them is good news.
