• In the first panel, we see Kindaka's dead body and Uzuki running away from it.
• Rion chases him until she catches him and blames him for Kindaka's death while pointing a gun at him.
• She asks him why he did it, but Uzuki says that he didn't have a choice. He then tries to attack her while she is off guard.
• Rion dodges his attack, asking if he really thought he could defeat her.
• Rion defeats Uzuki, and he asks whether she will kill him or not. However, it seems like his words spark her interest, and now she wants to know why he didn't have a choice.
• Uzuki then tells Rion about his family, the orphanage, and his brother Gaku.

• At that moment, a few men enter the building and accuse the two of them of Kindaka's death.
• Rion says she didn't do anything while Uzuki voluntarily allows himself to get arrested.
• Rion snaps, steals one of the guys' guns and shoots everyone.
• Uzuki is confused as to why she is helping him, but she says she understands his feelings of wanting to protect his family and that she doesn't think of him as a bad person.

• We see a time skip, and Uzuki talks about how he wants to go back to the orphanage and rescue everyone.
• Rion explains he won't succeed if he does, but says she will help him come up with a better plan so they can do it together.

• We see the two of them in a car, going on a trip with no destination while discussing the food in the JAA and the JCC.
• The last panel suggests that this happy, easy-going trip of theirs wouldn't last long.
