Solo Leveling Episode 5 Summary

The start of the episode shows us how Sung Jinwoo is still in the hospital, training and developing his now more muscular and taller frame, which he believes is because of his new stats. 

Despite his newfound strength, Sung Jinwoo is concerned about the potential consequences of revealing his transformation to others. He is not in a secure position in his life and is hesitant to share his newfound abilities with others.

To avoid revealing his newfound abilities, Sung Jinwoo decides to remain in the E rank and avoid attracting attention. 

However, he cannot escape the monetary issues that come with his newfound specialness. To make some quick money, he accepts a C-rank mission, where he will carry luggage and not fight in the front lines for a good payment. However, this seemingly pretty good deal turns out to be a trap in the end.

After meeting up with the party he’s going to tackle the C-Rank dungeon with, and making a new friend in the form of Jin-ho, Sung Jin-Woo and the remaining members enter the dungeon.

Inside they face a swarm of ants and end up making their way to the boss room where they find a huge amount of crystals.

That is when Hwang Dongsuk and the remaining members of his group turn back with the premise of grabbing some mining gear, but in fact end up trapping Sung Jinwoo and Jinho with the boss. All so that they don’t need to split the rewards later.

The episode ends with Sung Jinwoo facing the boss and getting ready to fight it. We’ll see the full fight scene and Sung Jinwoo’s new powers in the next episode so be on the lookout for that on February 9th next week!
