Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl has finally released, and while it has been praised for its immersion, survival mechanics, and overall visuals, many players have been having issues running the game, both in terms of frame rate as well as numerous instances of crashing. Similar to other recent releases, such as Dragon's Dogma 2, it seems like the game might have been launched a bit earlier than it should have, and all of these issues have resulted in overall mixed reviews for the game. While players should definitely expect some optimization updates to arrive soon, those who have already purchased the game might have to play around a bit with their settings to make the game run smoothly. This is why, in this article, we are going to go over the best Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl settings purely for an increase in performance.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl - Best Settings for High Performance
As with any modern game, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl offers a ton of customization options through its settings menu, including everything from Environment Draw Distance to something as simple as Texture Quality. We have experimented with most of these settings and their impact on frame rate, and we are going to showcase what worked the best. Keep in mind that everyone has a different system, and while some of these settings might give a massive increase in frame rate for some, it might not be as significant for others.
We highly recommend turning off Motion Blur and setting most of the options to Low, with the only real exception being Texture Quality. We have found that no matter what setting you choose for Texture Quality, you are going to have pretty much the same outcome in terms of performance, so you might as well leave it on Epic. For upscaling, we recommend using DLSS Performance mode, though this is one setting where we suggest experimenting, as it will heavily depend on your system. Here is our list of recommended settings purely for performance in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl:
