Stardew Valley Patch 1.6.5: New Crash Fixes Right After the 1.6.4 Update

Stardew Valley's Patch 1.6.4 was released just a day ago, bringing a lot of new additions to the game, including new mine layouts, the mini fish frenzies event, new fairy versions, and more! However, it seems that the patch failed to address some recurring bugs experienced by both players with and without mods.

Stardew Valley's 1.6 update was undoubtedly significant, and it's promising to see that subsequent patches continue to enhance the game experience. While it's understandable that issues may occur from time to time, it's great to see that the developers are quickly responding to player feedback. 

Stardew Valley Patch 1.6.5 Bug Fixes:

• Fixed crash when loading dark mine levels in some cases.
• Broken villager NPCs (usually due to a removed mod) are now deleted on load. They'll respawn when they're re-added to the data.

As you can see, this small patch is addressing some issues with the mines. Players have been reporting a few issues occurring in the farm's underground areas. One shared concern in the community has been a bug that sends people to level 77000 of the caves, although this update doesn't seem to be affecting it. The crash mentioned in the patch notes has been disrupting players' exploration of the caves, abruptly stopping them mid-fight with monsters and crashing the game.

However, step by step, all issues will be fixed, and it's good to see that they are already working on addressing the mine aspect.

The second fix addresses an issue with an NPC villager that was randomly breaking, primarily affecting mod users. ConcernedApe decided to completely remove this NPC to resolve the issue, allowing them to investigate the problem at their own pace and potentially reintroduce the NPC later. This update is also expected to assist players who experienced difficulty loading their saves after the release of 1.6.4, as developers suspected mods might have been responsible for the occurrence.
