In Starfield, the Adoring Fan is a unique companion that can be obtained by selecting a specific starting optional trait during character creation. This trait grants you the ability to gain the Adoring Fan as your loyal companion. This guide will provide details on how to find the Adoring Fan, what he brings to your crew, and how to part ways with him if you choose to do so.

Locating the Adoring Fan

To recruit the Adoring Fan as your companion or a member of your crew, you must complete the initial mission that leads you to Constellation's Lodge. Once you finish this mission and leave the Lodge, you'll encounter the Adoring Fan at the New Atlantis Spaceport. He will typically approach you and initiate a conversation, expressing his desire to join you.

If you happen to visit the Spaceport early, you might encounter him running towards you in the plaza or security checkpoint, eager to join your journey. Even if you travel to other locations, planets, or star systems, the Adoring Fan will eventually catch up with you, although it may take some time if you're constantly on the move.

Once you meet him, you'll have the option to recruit the Adoring Fan as a travel companion. He possesses skills in Scavenging, Concealment, and Weight Lifting, allowing him to carry more items for you. His concealment skill makes him an excellent choice for stealth-oriented players, as he can perform sneak attacks effectively. Additionally, he may offer you gifts but tends to engage in frequent and chatty conversations.

How to Remove the Adoring Fan from your crew

If you decide to part ways with the Adoring Fan permanently, there are a few methods to do so. During a conversation with him, select the topic of his "fandom," which will provide you with various options:

  1. (Attack): Choose this option to engage him in combat, removing him from your party and making him non-essential.

  2. "You can still be a fan, but not follow me or stay on my ship": This choice convinces him to continue being your fan but not accompany you or reside on your ship. It also makes him non-essential if you intend to eliminate him later.

  3. Persuade: Opt for this option to convince him that he should no longer be your fan. To succeed in persuasion, inform him that you're a murderer. Afterward, he will immediately leave and want no further involvement with you. This also makes him non-essential if you decide to eliminate him later.

A word of caution: Dismissing the Adoring Fan will cause him to depart with any items you entrusted to him, necessitating his elimination to retrieve those items.

With this information, you can decide how you want to handle the presence of the Adoring Fan in your Starfield adventure.
