As you navigate the vast world of Starfield, intriguing choices will come your way during the expansive campaign. One such decision arises after completing Andreja's personal mission: What should you do with Tomisar? Should you spare his life, or is it time for him to meet his end? And if the latter, who should carry out this grim task?
After uncovering the truth behind the betrayal suffered by Andreja and her former friends, it becomes clear that Tomisar is the link to the influential High Council, the puppeteer orchestrating events from behind the scenes. While Tomisar played a significant role in Andreja's life and served as her handler while she operated undercover among those who don't revere giant space serpents, his fate now hangs in the balance.
What Happens if You Spare Tomisar?
Tomisar pleads for his life when you confront him, yet he also accuses you of leading Andreja astray. This accusation is puzzling, considering his role in hunting down and killing her friends, with intentions of doing the same to her. If you choose to spare him, he vows to inform the High Council about Andreja's betrayal. In response, she threatens to do the same.
In a subsequent conversation, Andreja reveals that sparing Tomisar would likely result in the High Council exiling her from her religious community, ensuring she would never see her family again. Personally, I found this ending the least appealing, as I couldn't justify letting Tomisar off the hook given his actions.
What Happens if You Kill Tomisar?
You can offer to eliminate Tomisar on behalf of Andreja. This way, he faces the consequences of his actions, and she avoids getting her hands dirty. This option carries a certain appeal. Later on, she expresses relief that her friends received justice but admits she wishes she had carried out the act herself. Nevertheless, she is still cut off from Va'ruun and her family, so not much changes in that regard.
What Happens if Andreja Kills Him?
To me, this is the canon ending. Andreja takes matters into her own hands, avenging herself and her friends while putting an end to Tomisar's deceitful ways. Tomisar gets his just desserts, and Andreja remains true to her character. Although she faces exile from Va'ruun, justice is served, and your friendship, potential romance, and the concept of Constellation as a new family can offer her some solace.
Which Option Is Best for Romance?
The good news is that the choice you make won't affect Andreja's relationship with you, her affinity level, or the possibility of romance. You can conclude this storyline in the way that aligns with your preferences without impacting these aspects of the game.
In my playthrough, I opted for Andreja to kill Tomisar. Her righteous anger was palpable, and she consistently responded positively when justice was served to the seedier elements of the universe. It just felt like the option that made the most sense. To make things a bit unconventional, I even borrowed Tomisar's clothes to wear around the Lodge. Subsequently, we became an unusual couple by tying the knot, proving that unconventional endings can lead to happiness.
