The rocky launch of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League in January 2024 was a hard pill to swallow for both steady fans of the franchise and the developer, Rocksteady. Despite the challenges, the game lives to see season 3 launching on October 1, 2024, and is adding a new playable character to the roster you can choose from! Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League S3 New Character
Rocksteady posted on X, confirming the launch of season 3 of Suicide Squad: KTJL on October 1, 2024, and announced that Zoey Lawton, better known as Lawless, is now one of the playable characters in the game. Lawless has appeared multiple times across the Suicide Squad world, but she rarely gets the writers' attention, so very little is known about her.
The game's original roster consisted of Harley Quinn, King Shark, Captain Boomerang, and Deadshot, who is Lawless' father. With the release of season 1, we got the Joker, then Mrs. Freeze in season 2. We're yet to see if we'll get another character reveal for the upcoming season besides Lawless, or whether Rocksteady will choose to stick to just her.

Suicide Squad: KTJL did not enjoy a smooth launch. After an hour of gameplay, a bug caused Rocksteady to kick out players who paid to play the game early to deal with the issue. Anyone would feel aggravated, so it would make sense that their sales plummeted once the community heard about what happened. Not only that, but it seems like it didn't live up to people's expectations, and subsequently several Rocksteady employees were let off in September 2024.
We'll see if the release of season 3 will spark a wave of interest since we are yet to get updates. Very little is confirmed about the new content the game is introducing, so we can only stay tuned!
