On August 1, OG moved Taiga to its inactive roster as they search for a new support player to join the recently un-retired Ceb. The organization has allowed the Norwegian player to explore other options for the TI qualifiers, where he may potentially be loaned out to play with another interested team.

Taiga joined OG in November 2021 as part of the team's transition away from its championship-winning core and towards building a new roster of talent from Europe. He served as the hard support for two Dota Pro Circuit seasons, contributing to OG's historic fifth Major title. However, the team's performance has been inconsistent, culminating in a seventh-place finish at TI11 and a lack of DPC points to secure a TI12 invite.

Throughout the year, OG struggled with roster inconsistencies, including Taiga's announcement of a break from the team just before the first DPC Summer Tour series. This led to confusion among fans and a decline in Major contention for OG.

Ceb's return to the active lineup has brought some stability, as the remaining players have experience playing with him. OG is now seeking a fifth member to fill in the lineup, and options include Misha, who has experience as a player and coach with Ceb, and Kartik "Kitrak" Rathi from Ceb's Old G lineup.

OG has until August 10 at 2 pm CT to finalize its roster for the TI12 qualifiers, which are set to begin on August 17.
