Pengu's Party Mode Explained

Pengu's Party is the new TFT mode with a nostalgic twist. The arena is decorated with balloons and colorful decorations in the spirit of the holiday. Although it might start as a normal game, at various stages you will be offered a choice of 3 Traits from Teamfight Tactics' past. Starting from the Beta (Set 1) up until Set 10 Remix Rumble, two unique Traits from each set will be in the pool of choices.

Pengu's Party works in the following order:

  • At stage 1-2, you are offered your first choice of three old Traits. The Traits can be both Combat Traits, like Imperial, which gives two units at the start of the round a 50 percent bonus damage, or Economy Traits, like Yordles or Shimmerscale.
  • At stage 2-5, you are offered your second choice of Anniversary Traits.
  • At stage 3-5, things get interesting. You get the chance to upgrade one of the Traits you have previously chosen. Anniversary Traits differ from other Traits by only being able to go up to 2 and reaching their maximum power at that number. For example, 2 Bilgewater will grant you not only the damage increase but also replace the 20th cannonball with a treasure chest that drops gold.

  • PvE Rounds: the monsters are replaced by cupcakes and party crabs that grant extra loot.
  • The player has the Golden item Remover. This is a permanent repeatable item that you can use to unequip all items of any champion.
