The First Descendant Season 1 Patch Notes - Battle Pass & New Descendant Hailey

The First Descendant Season 1 was finally released on August 29, 2024, and fans are excited to try out the brand-new character called Hailey and the new Ultimate Weapon added to the game.

Although we've been prepared for some of the upcoming changes, the community wasn't expecting so many new updates and bug fixes to take place in Season 1, so here are the most important details!

The First Descendant Season 1 New Character Hailey Scott

Hailey Scott is a chill-based sniper, and she is entering the roster of The First Descendant with the new Season 1. As with every other character in the game, she has one Passive and four Active Skills. Her Passive decreases Weak Point DMG when attacking nearby enemies and increases with distant opponents. Let's take a look at all of them:

• Passive Skill: Safe Strategic Retreat
• Active Skill I: Cryo Round
• Active Skill II: Storm Snare
• Active Skill III: Cold Fury
• Active Skill IV: Zenith

The first Active Skill fires multiple Cryo Rounds at foes to deal DMG and inflict Cryo. The second one is used to knock back enemies with Chill Vortex and fires Freezing Beams. When Hailey is in a Cold Fury state, her Firearm Penetration and Critical Hit Rate for Firearms and Skills increase significantly. The last one activates her Unique Weapon, which boosts Penetration and Firearm ATK and deals Chill skill DMG.

The First Descendant Season 1 Hailey's Research Materials

Hailey's research materials can be obtained by completing Invasion Dungeons, and your chances of acquiring the resources that way are 100%. Keep in mind that Invasion events occur daily in two dungeons, and they can be cleared twice a day. Here is how to research Hailey:

It's important to note that Hailey's research materials can also be obtained by defeating monsters in Hard Infiltration Operations, and if you want to do it faster, you can play in the Magister Lab in Slumber Valley or The Shelter in Echo Swamp.

• CHANGED: Increased Max Stack and reduced MP cost

Orbit Barrier

• CHANGED: Increased HP and DEF ratios

Void Walk

• FIXED: Continuously recovering shield. Increased Max Shield ratio

 

Body Enhancement

• CHANGED: Increased HP, DEF, and Shield

 

Void Charge

• CHANGED: Restores Void Walk stacks and resets the cooldown of Expulsion

The First Descendant New Episode: Invasion

When you complete all existing main quests, the Invasion episode will continue with the Mysterious Phenomena mission. You can unlock the new progression system, Invasion Reinforcement, by progressing through the main quest called Altered Design. As far as the Invasion Dungeons are concerned, you can enter them from the Infiltration Operations Terminal.

The Invasion event occurs daily in two of the Hard Infiltration Operation dungeons. However, Invasion Dungeons can only be played solo. Moreover, you won't be able to enter them after you've acquired all of the Ironheart Particles, which are obtained by clearing the dungeon.

The First Descendant Season 1 Battle Pass

The Battle Supply Shop and the Bonus Shop are officially closed. Don't worry about the rewards you haven't claimed; you will receive them automatically. However, if you have any Supply Coins left after the purchase of all Battle Pass items, they will not be recovered. Unused Bonus Coins will expire as well.

The new Invasion Season Battle Pass is already here, and you can get the new Ultimate Weapon called EXCAVA as a reward. Moreover, you will receive the helmetless head skins of Bunny, Valby, and Sharen.

The First Descendant Season 1 Battle Pass Supply Shop

The new Invasion Season Battle Supply Shop is already in the game, and all you need to do is level up your Battle Pass to get the skins. Nexon Games added some new products as well, such as Hailey's Sniper Squad Full-Dress Uniform skin package and the Typical Army Beret premium head skin.

There are also 10 types of paint available: clear red-orange, glossy cerise pink, clear fog blue, sun-kissed beige, and others.

The First Descendant Season 1 Bug Fixes

There was an issue in the inventory where the DPS value within the weapon icon would change when designated as junk while in View Module Stats mode, and the quantity tracker on the HUD would not update if you have Tracking On for an item you do not have on the Library screen. Thankfully, these problems are now fixed.

Additionally, the Firearm Critical Hit Resistance is changed to display 3 decimal points in the inventory's info screen, and the Kingston Special Operation is now counted for the Resource Defense award.

The First Descendant Content Improvements

The Ultimate Weapon Smithereens had problems with the Fire Rate reduction from the effect of the Unique Ability Fearlessness, and it was slower than stated. The effect icons looked the same on the Unique Ability info screen as well, but the developers have already taken care of those.
