In Kingdom Come: Deliverance your combat technique is more important than having the best sword in the game. If you don’t know how to wield your weapons, then you are never going to win a fight unless you surprise your enemy. Even if you know what you are doing, avoid groups of enemies because you will not survive. You need to be smart at all times.
That being said, a good sword can make your life easier. Some swords can be the difference between life and death when you know what you are doing. Once you have mastered swordplay, finding the best sword in the game will be at the top of your list.

Herod’s Sword
In the early game of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, an exceptional option for a longsword has to be Herod’s Sword. It has great slashing damage and while it isn’t great for stabbing, it makes up for it with range and defense. It has decent durability and can give you a much-needed boost to your charisma early on.
The swordsmith at Rattay will sell you Herod’s sword or you can pick one up during the An Oath is an Oath quest later in the game. It might not be the best longsword out there but it is a viable choice in Kingdom Come: Deliverance until the better weapons become available.

Noble Sword
The Noble Sword is the most balanced shortsword in KCD, making it extremely viable in multiple scenarios. Its stab and slash damage is great. The Noble Sword is perfect to wield with a shield. It has one of the best charisma ratings of all swords but will need repair often as it doesn't have great durability.
You can find the Noble Sword by following Treasure Map XIII or winning the Rattay Tourney 26 times. If you have access to the Band of Bastards DLC, you will have the opportunity to loot it from Sir Hagen Zoul.

Longinus’ Sword
Longinus’ Sword might not be the best longsword in Kingdom Come: Deliverance but it is a close second, especially mid-game. It only requires 10 strength to wield and inflicts serious stab damage. It might not be the most powerful when it comes to slashing but its range and defense make up for it. Longinus’ Sword also is fairly easy to find and doesn’t cost all that much Groshen.
You can find Longinus’ Sword in a few places in KCD. The simplest and cheapest method is by progressing along the game until you come up against high-level bandits and soldiers. Kill them and loot their bodies. Longinus’ Sword will appear fairly often. You can also buy it from most swordsmiths or find it by following Treasure Map XXIV.

Stinger
When it comes to shortswords, you can’t go wrong with the Stinger. It might not have the best slashing damage but it has great defense and charisma. Shortswords are used for stabbing and that is what the Stinger does best. It has the highest stab damage of most swords and if you prefer to use shortswords, then the Stinger should be in your arsenal.
You can buy the Stinger in KCD or another way is to follow the first Ancient Map. It does drop from random opponents but there is no way to know when or where. Fans of KCD have also reported that Wolflin of Kamburg carries a Stinger. Loot it from his body if you choose to kill him in the Robber Baron quest.
