Valorant Patch 9.1 Maps

Abyss has been one of the most problematic maps in Valorant since it was first released, but the developers keep improving it with every Patch. Cypher's Spycam spots have been cleaned in order to prevent visual issues or unintended placements, and Wingman's Spike plant pathing on A site has been significantly improved.

There will be no more ability/player collisions across the map, and the bug where the Minimap could be oriented upside down with certain settings active was removed. There was also a slight visual bug seen when falling off the map on A site, and Viper's Pit could spread a little bit farther than intended, but there is no reason to worry about those anymore. As far as Valorant Console is concerned, Lotus will finally enter Competitive, Unrated, Swift Play, and Deathmatch queues.

Valorant Patch 9.1 Premier

One of the biggest concerns about Valorant Premier was the fact that there was no way to start a match in the first two weeks of Episode 9 Act 1 due to a matchmaking issue. The only divisions that were not affected were Contender and Invite, and these teams played their matches successfully.

Thankfully, teams can now easily find matches, and anyone who plays in the IBIT zone in week 6 and before will automatically qualify for the playoffs. The teams that have already played in another EU zone can still qualify in IBIT, but they will have to create a new roster and play a match first. Everyone who manages to do that will get 600 points before the start of week 7.

Valorant Patch 9.1 Bug Fixes

You no longer need to worry about Neon equipping out of her slide faster than intended, and the resurrections of Sage and Clove will now be visible to all Valorant players. Moreover, AFK players cannot start votes for surrender, and there are no more problems with the auto-respawn caused by spike explosions in Custom Game modes.

There was an issue with Tactical Callouts displaying in chat regardless of the option being turned off in Settings, but the developers made sure to eliminate that fast. Additionally, if you turn off that option, bullet traces will no longer be visible at all. Many players were worried about the Ping Wheel getting stuck to the interface when bound to the Z key, but this has also been solved.

Valorant Patch 9.1 Social Updates

Be aware that when there are changes to your party, you might see the message Missing String Entry Table in your chat log. The notification indicator on the social card was also updated, so it's easier to tell when you have a party invite, even when the social panel is closed.

Voice indicators were added to the Party tab as well, so you will always be able to see who is speaking. Additionally, there is now a button to leave the party in the My Party section of the Party tab in the social panel. Sometimes Valorant would fail to update your presence after a match, but this bug was also fixed.

Valorant Patch 9.1 Additional Improvements

It's important to note that the Surrender and Remake menus are disabled since there is a chance for your controls to get locked for an entire round if you try to use them. However, the draw will remain functional. Unequipping abilities wouldn't respect the Auto-Equip Prioritizers but this is no longer an issue. You can now switch off from the Spike when you have no primary and you're using the Traditional Controls preset, and you will never lose visual highlighting of the buttons if you hover over in the front-end menus.

Moreover, you can freely rebind non-ultimate Ability button mappings, and there are settings for inverting map cursor controls. One weapon was also updated, and that is Outlaw. The animation for the gun and its skinlines are now more apparent when you are ready to fire. Have fun and good luck on your next adventure!
