In a strategic move, Riot Games has unveiled significant alterations to the competitive map lineup in Valorant. The spotlight shines on Breeze's triumphant return in Episode 7 Act 2, accompanied by substantial renovations. Meanwhile, this shake-up involves bidding farewell to two long-standing maps.

Breeze's Revival with Reinventions

Breeze, the island-themed battleground, is making a grand reentry into the competitive Valorant map rotation at the inception of Episode 7 Act 2. The hiatus has been utilized to usher in sweeping modifications across the entire expanse of the map.

Mid Section Overhaul:

The mid section of Breeze has undergone substantial redesign, transitioning to a more enclosed setup. The pivotal pillar is now linked to the outer wall, accompanied by the addition of boxes on the newfound connecting wall. This thoughtful modification facilitates attackers in swiftly ascending to a higher vantage point along the middle lane.

B-Site Adaptations:

Adjustments have been strategically applied to Breeze's B-Site. The introduction of steps along the sides and rear grants defenders a clearer line of sight onto the site, concurrently providing cover.

Evolution of Hallways and Middle Doors:

The hallway has evolved into a contentious window zone for player clashes. The middle doors have also been revamped, incorporating side boxes for augmented cover. Additionally, the doors are now completely open, a departure from their slightly ajar configuration.

Fine-tuning the A-Site:

A meticulous touch has been extended to Breeze's A-Site. The entrance for attackers has undergone a transformation, rendering the shop and cave sectors as a unified lane fortified with strategically placed cover.

Pearl and Fracture's Departure:

The addition of Breeze to the competitive map repertoire comes at the cost of the removal of Pearl and Fracture. Notably, Pearl, the most recent map, will be temporarily set aside to undergo essential enhancements. A previous patch had already introduced some cover enhancements to the B-Site, addressing concerns voiced by both casual and professional players.

As the Valorant landscape shifts, Breeze's reimagined battleground promises a fresh dynamic, while the absence of Pearl and Fracture evokes anticipation for their future reappearance, possibly marked by transformative changes.
