Valorant Patch 8.12 Neon Buff
Not only did Neon get improvements in her mobile combat skills and speed, but she also received a major buff, accidentally allowing her to have insane mid-air accuracy. Thankfully, it was confirmed that the buff was unintentional, and it will definitely be removed from Valorant.
On June 12, 2024, Sentinels' Zachary Patrone, also known as Zekken, posted a video playing as Neon on Haven vs. TenZ, trying out the new buffs in Patch 8.11. While using Neon's High Gear (E) ability, Zekken landed an accurate headshot mid-air with a Phantom on TenZ at A Long while sliding down the A Tower.

Valorant Patch 8.12 Neon Air Buff Fix
The response from all Valorant fans was immediate, with people from all over the world commenting on the fact that Neon is indeed too powerful to support balanced gameplay. Coleman Palm, Valorant's Product Management Lead, responded to the clip and confirmed Neon's aerial accuracy was not intentional and will be removed.
Just wanted to say that we're working on a fix for this right now. Aerial accuracy is not intended.

Fans suspect that Zekken was able to land the headshot because of a specific buff, namely after Valorant's developers removed all weapon movement errors when sliding. Neon's speed is so improved now that these changes have left several Valorant pros rethinking their mains. Have fun while Neon's buffs are still in the game!
