Valorant Premier is the latest addition to Riot Games' vision for the future of competitive Valorant. It marks a significant step towards elevating the level of competition beyond what players are accustomed to in Ranked matches. Designed to provide an even higher goal beyond Radiant, this new mode offers a rewarding challenge for the most ambitious players.

Imagine Valorant Premier as a counterpart to Faceit in CS:GO, where the competition is more intense than standard matchmaking. Riot aims to create a new path to the pro scene, allowing players to showcase their skills and compete from the comfort of their homes. Leo Faria, Valorant's Head of Esports, envisions Premier as the gateway to the VCT Challengers leagues, potentially replacing the current open qualifying system in the future.

Who can participate in Valorant Premier?

Following the launch of the Valorant Premier Global Open Beta with the 6.08 update, any team of five to seven players can join the competitive mode. This format will continue after the beta period concludes, incorporating additional features and lasting for an extended duration.

Once your team is formed, it will be placed in a division, and you will engage in a persistent season comprising a mix of weekly matches and tournaments. Successful teams may even qualify for the end-of-season tournament, competing for the prestigious title of Division Champions.

The Valorant Premier Global Open Beta commenced on April 25, 2023, following an announcement by Laura La Vito, the lead producer of Valorant Premier, on April 17. This beta phase ran for four weeks, from April 25 to May 23, 2023, during which three main stages occurred: the Enrollment period, Weekly matches, and the Playoff Tournament.

Building on the feedback received during the global beta, Riot Games is now testing Premier with the Ignition phase. Premier Ignition serves as a final test run before its official launch in August, incorporating updates and improvements based on player input from the beta.

During the Ignition phase, players will experience enhanced text verification for enrollment and receive real-time updates regarding match schedules and team readiness. While the player's team, match history, and Premier MMR will carry over from the beta period, the Premier Score, Division, and enrollment details will not.

For those eager to dive into the specifics of how to play Valorant Premier Global Ignition, an in-depth guide is available to provide all the necessary information.

The Valorant Premier Ignition enrollment period runs from July 11 to July 20, with matches commencing on July 20 and continuing until August 12. Successful teams will proceed to the playoff tournament, scheduled to start on August 13. As Valorant Premier gears up for its official launch, players can anticipate an even more competitive and rewarding experience beyond Radiant.
