Valorant Update 7.02 Patch Notes: Esports Hub, Player Behavior Updates, and More

While there are no Agent buffs or nerfs in Patch 7.02, it does offer a couple of enhancements for players. One of the exciting additions is the Valorant Esports Hub, allowing players to follow Valorant Esports action directly from the game client.

Another enhancement involves player behavior updates, with Riot rolling out the Real-Time Text Evaluation and intervention system globally. This system, previously tested in the North American region via patch 5.10, aims to control disruptive situations and ill-behavior in matches more effectively.

Valorant Update 7.02 Patch Notes:

  1. Esports Hub:
  • The Esports Hub has been added to the client, providing the ability to follow VCT Champions 2023 right from within the game.
  • Players can access information about all competing teams, the schedule, and the results of Group Stages and Playoff brackets.
  • The Esports Hub will go live on August 2, with VCT Champions 2023 taking place from August 6 to August 26, 2023.
  1. Player Behavior Updates:
  • Party voice mutes have been added for players who have received team voice mutes.
  • Riot will initiate a global rollout of the Real-Time Text Evaluation and intervention system. Previously tested in the NA region, this system will now extend to global languages, starting with a mid-patch update and continuing with a staggered release.
  • The Real-Time Text Evaluation aims to detect and reduce disruptive situations in-game, providing a safer and more engaging environment for players.
  1. Bug Fixes:

  • General:

    • Fixed an issue where the Spray Wheel did not appear in Team Deathmatch and Escalation during Warmups.
    • Fixed a bug where the Spike Defuse animation would stop and start while standing on the edge of a Site.
    • Fixed an issue where toggling Walk was not possible with "Hold" set in Input settings.
    • Fixed an issue where the Duplicate Profile button did not gray out after reaching the maximum number of Crosshair Profiles.

  • Agent:

    • Various bug fixes for Omen, KAY/O, Deadlock, Chamber, and Raze abilities.
    • Visual improvements and fixes for ability interactions.

  • Maps:

    • Fixed audio issues with the B side teleporter on Bind when using controlled abilities.

    • Fixed display issues with the Premier Weekly Match Reset timer.
