What was once a peculiar concept has become standard in the gaming industry – microtransactions. These are optional, in-game purchases made with real money. Assassin’s Creed has not been immune to them, and it's not the only series to embrace this practice.

As Assassin’s Creed Mirage reevaluates its gameplay and approach, many are curious about Ubisoft's stance on microtransactions in the game. Basim symbolizes a new beginning for AC, so have the developers adopted a different approach when it comes to additional purchases and in-game transactions?

Do Microtransactions Exist in Assassin’s Creed Mirage?

Unlike the very first Assassin’s Creed game, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will indeed feature microtransactions when it launches.

However, Ubisoft has emphasized that these microtransactions will be strictly cosmetic in nature. In previous games, players could enhance their gameplay by purchasing XP boosters and other similar items.

The developers addressed this matter in a statement to TrueAchievements: “Assassin’s Creed Mirage will offer cosmetic bundles available for purchase directly on first-party stores at launch. These bundles are optional and will not impact player progression.”

So, if you wish, you can experience the entire journey of Assassin’s Creed Mirage without engaging in microtransactions. It's understandable that Ubisoft generates additional revenue through this approach, so it's not surprising to see them continue to incorporate it.
