Microtransactions in gaming have been a hot topic for a while now, and the discussion is likely to continue well into 2024. One of the first major releases of the year is going to be Ubisoft's first venture into the Prince of Persia series for over 13 years, and players are already skeptical about whether or not they will see an in-game shop within the first few hours of the game.

As Ubisoft has been notorious in the last few years for adding microtransactions even to single-player games, such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla, in this article, we will discuss whether or not Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is going to feature any sort of additional microtransactions.

Does Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Have Any Microtransactions?

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will not feature any in-game microtransactions at launch. The game does, however, have a Deluxe Edition which includes an in-game Immortal outfit for Sargon and a Prosperity Bird Amulet, as well as 3 days early access, allowing you to play the game on January 15th. This can always change at a later date, but for now, it seems like the latest entry into the Prince of Persia series is going to be free from an in-game real money shop. There has also been no information about potential expansions, DLCs, or season passes in the near future of the game.

That is everything you need to know about potential microtransactions in the upcoming Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. While the game does not offer any additional ways to spend money, some players are going to remain sour at the Early Access period provided by purchasing the Deluxe Edition of the game. We can only speculate at what the future holds for the Prince of Persia series, but the latest entry is so far free of any egregious microtransactions.
