Following fan complaints about the difficulty of unlocking regular flying on the Dragon Isles, a forum post by WoW community manager Kaivax announced long-awaited changes. Gaining the Pathfinder achievement became a tedious task for many, taking away from the gameplay. It also sparked conversations about the necessity of the Pathfinder system at this stage of World of Warcraft's development.

Feedback and Changes

Upon further review, we’ve decided to remove the Freshscales Fifteen requirement from Dragon Isles Pathfinder. There will be no Renown level requirements.

I’ve updated the OP here, and we’re updating the Guardians of the Dream patch notes to reflect this.

Thank you for your feedback!

- Kaivax, community manager

Blizzard took feedback from the players and added some changes to the recent patch. Flying in the Dragonflight zone is now more accessible as the Freshscales Fifteen and Renown Level requirements were removed.

Meeting the requirements for the Dragon Isles Pathfinder wasn't overly challenging or more complex than typical WoW pathfinders. Players needed to reach Renown level fifteen with the four factions of Dragonflight, along with the Loamm Niffen and Dream Wardens. However, this is no longer necessary, allowing fans to access regular flying earlier in their gameplay.

Players are pleased with this change, considering it a positive step forward in the game's development. Now the future of the Pathfinder System is being questioned.
