This new season of Classic WoW will feature a fresh take on the formula, with new class & role combinations, new raid content and most of all, an intriguing new level cap system. The season will be split into different phases, locking you into a lower level cap, but introducing you to new content for that level, such as the new Blackfathom Depths raid.
More information has surfaced at the Blizzcon Developer Panel, as Blizzard shed light on the leveling phases planned for the upcoming WoW Classic Season of Discovery. In this article we will go over everything we know from the developers about the end-game in this new era of World of Warcraft.

The Leveling Phases in Season of Discovery
The Season of Discovery will feature four distinct leveling phases, each with its unique level caps and objectives. As players progress through these phases, they'll encounter various challenges and experiences. Other than Phase 1, the rest are simply speculation based on teases by Blizzard:
Phase | Level Cap | Main Raid |
Phase 1 (Confirmed) | 25 | Blackfathom Deeps |
Phase 2 | 35? | Gnomeregan? |
Phase 3 | 45? | Scarlet Monastery? |
Phase 4 | 60? | Karazhan? |

Blizzard intends to carefully monitor player progression and feedback to ensure that each phase aligns with the amount of time before unlocking the next leveling phase. Although no specific timeframes were provided at Blizzcon, hints suggest that the intervals between phases may span more than one month, possibly around two months.
Teases of Future Phases
At the end of the panel Blizzard teased a few images from different Classic dungeons. These teases included an image of Gnomeregan, Scarlet Monastery and Karazhan. At this point we are speculating that these might be the big raids coming with the raise of the level cap in each phase of the season.
