What is World of Warcraft Hardcore Self-Found Mode?

WoW Self-Found Mode

In WoW HC Self-Found mode, WoW players can't access items that they haven't acquired themselves. This means trading with others, using the mailbox, and accessing the Auction House are all off-limits. Your progression will rely solely on the loot you gather during your adventures in Azeroth.

While Blizzard allows players to form groups, any gear, materials, or useful items must come from your own loot table and professions. These limitations not only highlight the challenges of playing Vanilla WoW but also create a difficult journey to level 60, with the constant fear of character death adding to the intensity.

In simple words, Self-Found Mode players will have to follow these rules:

  • Cannot trade with other players.
  • Cannot use the Auction House.
  • Cannot send or receive mail.

Are you ready to take up the challenge? Blizzard Entertainment has even more fun content in store for us in 2024. We'll be here to update you with all new WoW HC-related content.
