Here are the best and worst Healers in World of Warcraft Dragonflight Patch 10.2.

WoW Healer Tier List: Dragonflight 10.2 December 2023
Blizzard Entertainment

Since the release of World of Warcraft Dragonflight's 10.2 Patch, there have been a ton of balance adjustments that have changed the healing meta in both raids and Mythic+. Raid and dungeon tuning, as well as the meta for DPS and Tanks, are also significant factors in determining which healer is going to be brought the most in any PvE content. In this article, we are going to go over our picks for the best healing specs for Dragonflight 10.2's PvE content as of December 2023.

We are going to be comparing these classes based on these criteria:

  • Healing Throughput: The amount of healing they can bring in order to keep their group alive.
  • Damage: The amount of damage they can bring to make boss fights and dungeons shorter.
  • Survivability: Can they survive the damage that will be thrown their way in the hardest content in the game?
  • Utility: Any utility that can help the group have a much smoother and easier experience in both raids and dungeons.

B Tier Healer Classes Dragonflight 10.2

Restoration Shaman Class Icon

Restoration Shaman

While being placed the lowest on this list, Restoration Shaman is still in a decent spot in patch 10.2. They just lack the numbers of some of the higher-tier picks. They suffer in dungeons due to the rise of Augmentation Evoker, taking their Bloodlust spot. There is also a lack of curse dispels required in the current dungeon pool, making their utility even less desirable.

After the addition of Hunter's Mark, Shamans remain the only class that does not bring any raid buff or debuff. They are the only class that does not have at least one guaranteed spot in the raid, coupled with how lackluster their healing and damage numbers are, making them the bottom spot on this list for PvE content in patch 10.2.

Holy Priest Class Icon

Holy Priest

Holy Priests have gotten some small buffs over the past few weeks, but they are still far behind Discipline, which puts them this low on the list. Holy is probably the worst healing spec for Mythic+ at the moment, with the lowest damage and offensive utility options. They can still meet the healing requirements of higher keys, but compared to Discipline, they lack the required damage.

In raids, they are in a much better spot, where there is a bigger emphasis on just being able to do raw healing numbers to keep your group alive. Still though, with current tuning, Discpline is also better than Holy in this regard. For Holy to climb up the ranks, we are going to need to see either a lot of buffs to them or a lot of nerfs for Disc.

Preservation Evoker Class Icon

Preservation Evoker

Preservation Evokers are really strong in this patch, but similar to Restoration Shamans and Holy Priests, they have the issue of another class or spec being better and competing for their slots. For Preservation, this is the rise of Augmentation, which is absolutely necessary for any high-end content at this point. While Preservation meets both damage and healing requirements in high-level content, players are not going to favor bringing two Evokers over something like a Holy Paladin or Disc Priest.

In a raid, this issue is less severe, but they are still affected by the need for two Augmentation specs for optimal buffs. The story of this B-tier is just classes who are good but overshadowed by another spec just being in a better spot for patch 10.2.

A Tier Healer Classes Dragonflight 10.2

Restoration Druid Class Icon

Restoration Druid

Restoration Druids have the biggest split in terms of the two types of PvE content. They are currently one of the best healers for Mythic+, while definitely being the worst for the Amirdrassil raid. Being able to bring a Battle Rez along with Mark of the Wild works amazing with the utility that Augmentation provides, and although their damage got nerfed recently, they are still the strongest healer in that regard.

For raiding, Restoration is in a very poor spot. They just lack the healing throughput needed for most of the Mythic encounters, and they have some of the biggest mana issues in the entire roster. Blizzard needs to somehow find a balance to bring them more in line for the two types of PvE content.

Mistweaver Monk Class Icon

Mistweaver Monk

Mistweaver Monks staying in the A Tier for this long is a huge success, considering they have been one of the weakest healers for a very long time now. While not the best in both dungeons and raids, they are definitely one of the more balanced and strong options available. They bring amazing utility to every dungeon group; they work amazing with Augmentation Evokers, and with the rest of the Monk specs being lackluster, they are sure to find spots in any PvE content.

Their numbers are looking great with strong healing throughput, short cooldowns, and a high amount of damage. We definitely recommend trying out Mistweaver before Blizzard decides they should not be played again for another two years.

Holy Paladin Class Icon

Holy Paladin

The weekly Holy Paladin nerfs have finally stopped, and they are still in a great spot in patch 10.2. They were by far the strongest healer in Season 2, and luckily Blizzard didn't just straight nuke them to the ground. Their biggest weakness right now is the amount of damage they bring, as well as some mana issues in a raid environment.

Still, Holy Paladins are going to be able to bring some of the best defensive utility in the game, which is going to be invaluable in higher-tier dungeons where everything is starting to one-shot you. In raids, they are a bit lower in the food chain but still good enough to have a guaranteed raid spot over Protection and Retribution.

S Tier Healer Classes Dragonflight 10.2

Discipline Priest Hero Icon

Discipline Priest

Discipline Priest got hit with some nerfs a few weeks ago, but they are still the kings of patch 10.2. Other than some small mobility issues, Discipline is currently the best healer in both dungeons and raids, bringing some of the highest healing throughput, as well as their own damage and Power Infusion. They have the perfect healing profile and utility for the new set of Mythic+ Dungeons and work amazingly with an Augmentation Evoker further buffing the group.

Priests in Raids are always going to be required with how strong their utility is, and with Holy being a lot weaker, you are going to be seeing a lot of Discipline Priests. Unless more nerfs come to the table, Disc is going to remain the best choice for PvE content in Dragonflight Patch 10.2.

That was our list for the best and worst healers for patch 10.2 in World of Warcraft Dragonflight. Keep in mind that this list is based on higher-level PvE content in the game, and you can play any of these classes in your weekly 20s or heroic Amirdrassil.
