WoW SoD Phase 2: Alchemy Guide (New Recipes, Gold Making & More)

World of Warcraft Season of Discovery Phase 2 is brimming with players trying to reach level 40 and complete the new 10-man Gnomeregan Raid.

Among the commotion, some players are already starting to max out their professions to earn some sweet gold as professions play a huge role in SoD not only because you can craft amazing gear, but also valuable potions, elixirs and reagents. 

In this guide for WoW SoD Phase 2, we will be going over the Alchemy profession, how you can quickly max it out and which recipes you should focus on to make some gold. 

WoW SoD Phase 2: Alchemy Leveling Guide 150-225 (Expert)

You will first need to speak with these NPCs to learn the Expert Alchemy Skill. 

• Ainethil: Darnassus /way 55, 24
• Kylanna Windwhisper: Feathermoon Stronghold, Feralas /way 32.6, 43.8
• Rogvar: Stonard, Swamp of Sorrows /way 48.4, 55.6
• Doctor Herbert Halsey: The Apothecarium, Undercity /way 48.2, 72.2

You will need to focus on the following potions and elixirs to quickly level up your Alchemy to the max 225 skill during Phase 2.

These potions and elixirs will come in handy so make sure to either sell them on the Auction House or use them to fill up Waylaid Supplies to progress your reputation.

WoW SoD Phase 2 New Alchemy Recipes

These are the new recipes you can get from the 10-man Gnomeregan Raid. Both of these recipes can be purchased from Ziri "The Wrench" Littlesprocket, however, you will need to complete the epic crafting quest chain to be able to purchase the Recipe: Mildly-Irradiated Rejuvenation Potion.

You can get Crate of Tainted Gniodine Solution by turning in Grime-Encrusted Salvage at The Salvagematic 9000 in Gnomeregan next to Ziri "The Wrench" Littlesprocket once you have completed the quest chain.

Insulating Gniodine will be a very important reagent for the other professions in Phase 2 so you can make a lot of gold by selling it once you get your hands on it.

The reagent is needed for the following BiS gear:

• Glowing Hyperconductive Scale Coif
• Gneuro-Conductive Channeler's Hood
• Rad-Resistant Scale Hood
• Gneuro-Linked Arcano-Filament Monocle

WoW SoD Phase 2 Important Potions and Elixirs

These potions and items will be invaluable for raiding in Gnomeregan as well as for making a lot of gold on the Auction House so once you have maxed out your Alchemy, make sure to start brewing these items.

Of course, you can also monitor the Auction House and which items are in demand, along with the new recipes and reagents you can create during Phase 2.

We have also included Truesilver Bar as it will probably come in handy in Phase 3 and Phase 4 so you can start stocking them up if you have alts.

These items should serve you well during Phase 2 as you start making a lot of gold due to the high demand.

WoW SoD Phase 2 Waylaid Supplies for Alchemy

 You can also make use of your Alchemy profession to fill up Waylaid Supplies during Phase 2 or even sell the items needed to complete the deliveries. 

Since Blizzard has changed the functionality of Waylaid Supplies, you can now only turn them in for reputation rewards or sell the empty caches for some silver.

• Fire Oil for Waylaid Supplies: Fire Oil 
• Elixir of Agility for Waylaid Supplies: Elixirs of Agility 
• Greater Healing Potion for Waylaid Supplies: Greater Healing Potions 
• Elixir of Greater Defense for Waylaid Supplies: Elixirs of Greater Defense

As of now, Alchemists are the only profession to have a reward from turning in Waylaid Supplies to reach Revered and the Lesser Arcane Elixir is currently a BiS potion for all spellcasters so make sure to start grinding and making gold.
