With Season of Discovery Phase 3 underway, many players are starting to wonder which class to bring as healers this time around. Last phase, we saw Discipline Priests being at the top as the best healers in terms of utility and total healing.

With a brand new phase around, giving players access to new runes, more abilities, and amazing gear, we are seeing some notable changes in terms of healing output, utility, and even damage, specifically for the new Sunken Temple 20-man Raid

With that being said, we will take a look at all of the classes that can heal and try to figure out which ones currently help your raid succeed in the toughest of battles.

WoW SoD Phase 3 Healer Tier List

We will rank each class in separate tiers, starting from the worst-performing to the very best. We will determine the viability based on current builds, strategies, and items found so far in Season of Discovery. We might see some notable changes as the devs adjust the power level, should they see underperforming specs.

Season of Discovery Phase 3 B-Tier Healer Classes

Mage Healer

Mage

Unfortunately, Mages have become even worse in Phase 3 as their talents and lack of interesting new runes have pushed them to the bottom in terms of healing output. Although it can be an interesting way to get some extra DPS in your raids, overall, you would prefer getting a better healer instead of more damage.

Holy Paladin

Paladin

Blizzard took quite a weird approach to Holy Paladins in Phase 3, as their runes primarily focus on damage output, which leads players to opt for Shockadin-esque builds by utilizing healer gear. It is quite possible for the spec to go even lower in terms of viability, but overall the class struggles to come close to the better healers in the game.

Season of Discovery Phase 3 A-Tier Healer Classes

Restoration Shaman

Shaman

Since the 20-man Sunken Temple raid has even more targets that require healing, Shamans can be quite efficient, but they do lack some significant power to place them higher on the list. Shamans lacks some much-needed scaling, and although the amount of utility you bring to a raid cannot be ignored, there is still more left to be desired.

Season of Discovery Phase 3 S-Tier Healer Classes

Discipline Priest

Priest

Discipline Priests have gotten even better as the amount of shielding and utility you offer cannot be compared to any of the other classes in the game. Although you will have to weave in heals more frequently to get better shields, overall this spec is here to stay in terms of relevancy.

Restoration Druid

Druid

Restoration Druids have scaled quite well with the addition of the new runes in Phase 3. Not only can you opt for a hybrid Boomkin build that will allow you to weave in some damage, but the amount of utility and healing you bring is substantial, making them almost on par with Priests in this phase.

And that covers all of the healer classes in World of Warcraft Season of Discovery Phase 3. We will make sure to update the tier list and add more information as players slowly start to figure out the best build and strategies to utilize in Sunken Temple.
