WoW SoD Phase 4 Mage Runes

Here are all of the new Mages Runes for World of Warcraft Season of Discovery Phase 4:

Arcane Barrage

Launches several missiles at the enemy target, causing 622.263 to 761.316 Arcane damage. This spell also has a 20% to trigger Missile Barrage.

Here is the Arcane Barrage Mage rune as well as a short guide on how you can unlock it in WoW SoD Phase 4:

  • This rune will be obtained during the Greater Friend of the Library a quest line (asking you to find and read a large number of books across the world)
  • Read more books than the ones required for the quest - 35 in total.
  • You can find the location of the books here, if you want to make the process quicker.

Overheat

Fire Blast will always deal a critical strike, can be cast while casting another spell, and is not affected by the global cooldown, but its cooldown is increased to 15 sec.

Here is the Overheat Mage rune as well as a short guide on how you can unlock it in WoW SoD Phase 4:

  • Find four Novice Frost Mages in each of the four named fields in Western Plaguelands:
    • Dalson's Tears (/way 45.1, 51.9)
    • Felstone Field, in the house (/way 36.8, 54.7)
    • Gahrron's Withering (/way 64.2, 57.7)
    • The Writhing Haunt (/way 53.3, 64.5)
  • Unfreeze the Novice Frost Mage, using fire spells but make sure you don't kill them.
  • Talk to the Novice Frost Mage to receive a torn spell note.
  • Combine the 4 torn spell notes to get the Rune.

Tips: If you kill the Novice Frost Mage, you'll receive Charred Spell Notes, which won't be useful. The Mage at Gahrron's Withering is tough to beat so maybe bring a group along.

Frozen Orb

Launches an orb of swirling ice which rapidly moves forward over 16 sec. While it is moving, every 1 sec the orb deals 156.435 Frost Damage and applies a Chill for 30% movement speed reduction to all enemies it passes through. The first time it damages an enemy, its movement will slow and it will have a 100% chance to trigger the Fingers of Frost rune

Here is the Frozen Orb rune as well as a short guide on how you can unlock it in WoW SoD Phase 4:

And that covers all of the new Mage Cloak Runes in World of Warcraft Season of Discovery Phase 4. Best of luck on your journey, Champions of Azeroth!
