Beginning the week of January 7, Timewalk through a previous expansion each week for seven consecutive weeks. This grand tour through World of Warcraft’s past will start with Mists of Pandaria and end with Cataclysm.

The event itself will last for 7 weeks and will end on February 25, 2025 (February 26 for EU players). This means you will go through 7 different expansions and their respective dungeons.

Gear Catch-Up

Also, for a limited time, the Timewalking quest available from the weekly quest giver, Archivist Frithrun in Dornogal, will offer an increased reward—a Heroic level Cache of Nerubian Treasures with items level 610-619. The reward upgrade is only available for this special Timewalking event. After Turbulent Timewalking has run its course, the reward returns to ilvl 597-606 Cache of Nerubian Treasures.

If you have any alts that are in dire need of gear, then you can dedicate some time every week to gear up your characters in time for Season 2 of The War Within.

New Mount

This season of Turbulent Timeways is an excellent opportunity to get the new Timely Buzzbee mount for completing the Master of the Turbulent Timeways II achievement by earning the Mastery of Timeways experience buff for at least five weeks during the Turbulent Timeways event. Getting Mastery of Timeways isn’t too challenging, but some nuances require time.

To unlock the Timely Buzzbee mount, you will need to earn the Mastery of Timeways buff for 5 weeks during the event. You obtain the buff by playing 4 Timewalking dungeons. The buff begins as Knowledge of Timeways and after 4 Timewalking Dungeon completions will turn the buff into Mastery of Timeways. The buff includes an XP boost of up to 30% so if you are looking for a fast way to level up alts, now is your chance.
