Wuthering Waves 1.2 New Optimizations and Features

The developers behind Wuthering Waves have just shared their newest Developer’s Message post, bringing us to its 4th volume.

In this post, they shared some of the new optimizations and new features coming in Wuthering Waves version 1.2 [In the Turquoise Moonglow].

New Features

In the 4th volume of the developer’s message, the developers behind WuWa revealed a total of 4 new features that will appear in the game with the 1.2 update.

Custom Lock-On

After the 1.2 version update, players will be able to access new custom lock-on options inside the Settings - Control menu. This option will allow players to set the auto lock-on priorities for enemies based on their combat preferences.

New Utility Hoverdroid: Shooter

Due to feedback from the community, the developers will add an entirely new utility tool for the players to use. 

The new utility is known as the [Hoverdroid: Shooter]. When equipped, the Hoverdroid: Shooter will allow players to summon a flying machine that will shoot when the players press or hold the Basic Attack Button.

This utility was added to remove the need to switch between teams when players encountered shooting challenges but had no pistol Resonators in their teams.

Store Excess Waveplate

Ever since the launch of WuWa players have been asking for a system where excess Waveplates will be stored for later use, and with version 1.2 we are finally getting that feature. After the version 1.2 update, whenever players reach the cap for Waveplates, they will start generating Waveplate Crystals.

Waveplate Crystals generate at a rate of 1 Waveplate Crystal every 12 minutes, and they cap out at 480 Waveplate Crystals. After you reach the cap of 480, you will not generate any more Waveplate Crystals.

After you’ve generated some Waveplate Crystals, you can easily convert them for standard Waveplates at a rate of 1 for 1.

Resonator Showcase

The new resonator showcase will allow players to view and display the Convene scenes (summon scenes) of unlocked Resonators.

You’ll be able to access the resonator showcase by tapping the avatar icon inside the Terminal Screen. For now, you’ll be able to display up to 3 different Resonators.

New Optimizations

Alongside the new features, the new version will also bring a total of 3 new optimization changes. Discover what they are below.

120 FPS

After the version 1.2 update, players will now be able to select 120 FPS on select PC devices.

[Depths of Illusive Realm] Store Rewards

With the new version, the developers will add even more new exchange items to the Illusive Store. These items will be available as the Convene events for the second half of each version are released.

Players will also receive a mail notification whenever new exchange items are added, to make sure you are always kept up to date. 

Activity Points Optimizations

With the release of Version 1.2, the Activity Points reward for the "Spend 180 Waveplates" daily quest will be increased from +20 > +60. The developers hope that this will allow players to complete their dailies faster.

Special Note

Finally, as a special note, the developers mentioned that with the release of the second phase of version 1.2, players will get a FREE COPY of the 5-star Resonator Xiangli Yao. They have also stated that they will reveal more information about this giveaway in the future.
