The Wuthering Waves official media channels announced today that the game had reached 30 million total downloads across all platforms worldwide.
This is a huge milestone for the game, which was only released less than three weeks ago. To celebrate the occasion, the team behind the game decided to give their players 10 Lustrous Tides (standard banner pulls), but only after drama started brewing in the community.

Wuthering Waves: 30 Million Downloads
Earlier today, it was announced that WuWa had reached 30 million downloads, which is without a doubt a massive number for any new game. It goes to show that despite all of the controversy that the game has faced since its launch, Wuthering Waves is doing well and people are enjoying it.
To celebrate this occasion, the team behind WuWa initially posted that they would be choosing 10 lucky winners to receive a reward of 10 Lustrous Tides.
However, this was quickly taken negatively by a large portion of the community and caused a bit of a stir on Reddit.

The Drama
The issue that a lot of players had was that, despite the huge milestone, only a handful of players would receive the free wishes, whereas in other games, the whole community would be rewarded. This led to a lot of discussion on various forums, and people were quick to jump on the wave of bashing Kuro Games yet again.
Luckily, Kuro Games was very quick to respond to the players’ feedback and released a follow-up post that stated that every single player would receive the 10 Lustrous Tides + 5 Crystal Solvents, which are used to replenish your in-game stamina.

Intentional Drama?
The follow-up post, expectedly, got a ton of praise from the community, and Kuro Games was once again praised as the best gacha company.
Players were happy that the free wishes were given to everyone, but at the same time, a portion of the community began to wonder whether this action was intentional or not.
The quick response by Kuro led some players in the community to believe that the decision to make the pulls available to everyone was premeditated and that Kuro was simply trying to milk their reputation as devs who listen.
There is no way to confirm whether this is true or not, and speculations like these are bound to occur no matter the game. Therefore, it would be best to form your opinions on the matter rather than blindly believing everything on the internet.
The drama aside, you can find the 10 Lustrous Tides in the mail, so make sure you claim them when logging into the game.
