With Wuthering Waves launching soon, there will be a lot of information that might help new players and maybe even surprise some Gacha "veterans." We’ve gathered some useful tips to guide you on your journey.

All information is based on CBT2, so things may change once the game is released.

Wuthering Waves: Union Level

After making the “hardest” choice in Wuthering Waves, picking a male MC or female MC, you get transferred to another world as Rover. Starting out, you’ll need to progress your account. One of the most important things in the early game is leveling up your Union Level. The Union Level is your account level, which increases the level cap for your characters, unlocks better rewards, and allows you to progress the story further.

Wuthering Waves: Waveplates

Waveplates are the equivalent of energy in Wuthering Waves. You should avoid capping your Waveplates as much as possible since they provide you with 7.5 Union EXP for each point spent. You recharge these Waveplates at a rate of 1 per 6 minutes, and the total amount you can have is 240, meaning you fill up all of your energy in 24 hours.

You can get around 1800 Union EXP just by spending your Waveplates daily. Speaking of daily, doing your daily quests each day will provide you with 2000 Union EXP, giving you a good boost to your Union Level. Crystal Solvent is the equivalent of Genshin Impact’s Resin in Wuthering Waves, so make sure to hold on to those until later levels.

Refreshing Waveplates in Wuthering Waves

Players should definitely avoid refreshing their Waveplates using their Astrite if they’re free-to-play. Refreshing your stamina regularly will reduce the overall pulls you will be able to do.

You get 60 energy per refresh, and you’ll be able to do 6 refreshes per day that have an increasing cost, going up from 50 all the way up to 250 Astrite. If you do a single refresh a day, that’s still 1500 Astrite for a month, which is almost a 10-pull in Wuthering Waves.

Wuthering Waves: Data Bank

Besides the Union Level, you also have a Data Bank Level. The Data Bank is tied to Echo Hunting. You’ll be able to level this up by collecting more and more Echoes and increasing their rarities.

Echoes are essentially the equivalent of artifacts that give you stats and an active skill you can use in combat. You’ll need to catch every single monster to complete your Data Bank. You’ll have to level up your Data Bank to level 15 to be able to catch gold rarity Echoes. Gold rarity Echoes are the strongest and are your “endgame gear.”

Wuthering Waves: Collectibles and Side Quests

Make sure to grab every resource you find on the ground in Wuthering Waves, as most of them will be very useful at one point or another. Grabbing and completing every quest you see will give you a lot of Union EXP, which will be great in the early levels.
