World Changes
From the Devs Interview it became clear that the most brought up concern during the first closed beta of Wuthering Waves had been its world feel and how everything had felt dull and even depressing at times.
The developers have addressed this by giving more attention to assets and enhancing rendering and shaders, all while trying to keep their post-apocalyptic thematic. Another new feature they have added this time around is realistic weather changes that make the world feel more alive.
They believe that the game now looks way better and are working on trying to maintain these graphics towards all the devices the game will be available on in the future.

Story Changes
During the Devs Interview the development team mentioned that they had received a lot of feedback from players in regards to their story.
Apparently the feedback was quite mixed with some people loving the story and others not so much. To address this the developers took the difficult decision to redo the story, and have rewritten 90% of Wuthering Waves’ story.
This includes changes in the scripts, voice acting, quests, structures, some art assets, all cinematics, and much more.

Character Changes
In these 6 months the developers have worked hard to add idle animations to each and every character, while also focusing on their expressions to make them look more alive.
Furthermore, some characters have seen slight changes in their design, others have gotten new outfits, while third have seen complete redesigns to make them fit the world better.

Echo System Changes
Echoes are one of the most defining features of Wuthering Waves and as such it is only right that this feature is as polished as it can be. Echoes in Wuthering Waves work similar to Relic Sets in Genshin Impact.
They offer set bonuses, however, Echoes in Wuthering Waves take on the form of monsters, which players can then transform into.
For this CBT2 the developers have worked on making the Echo farming way more accessible and also redesigning the [Echo Gallery] so that players can more easily look through the Echoes they have gathered. Gotta catch them all!

Camera Shake
- The developers have toned down the camera shake that was apparently causing problems for players and have made the new way the camera shakes and moves feel way more natural and better.
Lock On
- The lock on feature is certainly one of the most difficult ones when it comes to action games. The developers of Wuthering Waves shared that for the second closed beta they have worked on the lock on feature to make it smoother and way easier for players to keep track of enemies.
- Furthermore, they have developed specific lock ons for specific enemies, making the game and combat feel better!
Combo System
- Developers have worked to make combos in the game feel more seamless and allow for more immersion and smoother transitions between attacks.
