Aalto is a Hybrid character with a distinct playstyle in Wuthering Waves: he makes misty gates that strengthen his attacks when he shoots through them, and he may also jump through the gates to become incorporeal, enhancing his movement speed.
The most powerful aspect of Aalto's kit is undoubtedly his Outro skill, which offers the next ally Aero DMG% Deepen, making him an ideal partner for Jiyan and any other future Aero Main DPS.
Unfortunately, to balance out this powerful and general outro as S0, he requires a significant amount of field time to access his concerto while also having bad damage output, leaving him well behind other hybrid characters in 1.0.
That being said, if you like his gameplay, you should still use him, as any character that's built properly can do its job.
Now let's look at the best way to build Aalto in Wuthering Waves.

Summary
All in all, there are better options than Aalto for Hybrid characters in Wuthering Waves. On top of everything mentioned before, he also has a high Ultimate energy cost.
To effectively play Aalto, you must first fire through his mist gate before dashing through it after gathering 6 charges. However, doing so places him between the gate and the targets you were just firing at, which calls for him to either reposition, create another gate with his talent (which has a long cooldown), or perform a complete basic string without gaining any charges.
All of these alternatives aren't fantastic and are required to achieve an ideal rotation, making Aalto a little difficult to play at S0.
Fortunately for Aalto, his Sequences provide him with a great deal of power, utility, and, most importantly, quality of life, which will come in handy. Since he's a 4-star, those will be a lot easier to obtain in time.
In conclusion, Aalto has some decent utility and a good generic outro buff but falls short a bit at S0. He'll be great after a while, once you have more of his Sequences.
