Wuthering Waves has a ton of characters with unique abilities and playstyles that will fit almost any type of gamer. However, due to Wuthering Waves being a gacha game, you are not always guaranteed to get the characters you want.
Luckily, in Wuthering Waves, there are some free characters that you can get just by playing the game, and in this guide, we’ll show you how to get one of the 4-star characters, Chixia.

Who is Chixia?
Chixia is a pistol-wielding 4-star character that uses the Fusion element. She is one of the first characters you encounter in the story and is also one of the resonators you get for free just for playing the game.
In other games, we are used to the free characters being quite underwhelming, but as of right now, Chixia appears to be a really solid character with good DPS potential for a free character.

How to Get Chixia
As we’ve already mentioned, Chixia is a free unit, meaning that every player will be able to get at least one copy of her to test her out. This is how you get Chixia in Wuthering Waves:
- Open [Wuthering Waves]
- Play through the [Main Story]
- Reach [Jinzhou]
- Receive [Chixia]
After playing the main story for a bit, you will be led to the first main city, Jinzhou. Right after entering this city and going through some dialogue, you will receive your free copy of Chixia, and she will automatically be added to your party, allowing you to test her out right away.
The other way to get copies of Chixia is through the game’s wishing system. But that is heavily reliant on luck, and unfortunately, there are currently no other ways to get more free Chixia copies, so you will have to cross your fingers and pray to the gacha gods.
