Yinlin is the newest limited 5-star character to join the Wuthering Waves roster, and close to a week has passed since her release last Thursday, June 6, and a ton of content has already been made on the character to help you decide if you should pull for the Electro mommy or not.

Today I’ll give my opinion on Yinlin, whether she’s good, if she’s worth pulling, and more.

Is Yinlin Good?

The most important question that comes up whenever a new character is released is whether that character is good or not. Well, Yinlin was no exception. Given that she was one of the characters that were revealed even before the official release of the game, a ton of fans were expecting her release.

But they were also hoping for her to be good so that they could justify spending their resources on her. So, is Yinlin good? The answer to that is yes; Yinlin is a good character.

She does an amazing job at filling the sub-dps role for Electro teams and can also be used as a really solid main dps as well, without even needing that much investment. Although her damage might fall slightly below Calcharo’s when it comes to single targets, she easily dominates AoE scenarios, and what’s best is that she also allows the rest of her team to do the same.

Now that we’ve gone over whether Yinlin is good or not, it’s time to dive into whether you should pull for her, or rather spend your currency on Jiyan, or maybe even save for 1.1, which will feature two new amazing characters: Jinhsi and Changli.

Well, there is no clear answer to whether you should pull for Yinlin or not. First of all, we should consider if you’re pulling for meta or not. If you’re not pulling for meta and only want to get the characters that you like, then yea, she’s totally worth pulling for.

If you’re pulling for meta, things are usually a bit different, but honestly, that isn’t the case for Yinlin. Even when it comes to meta, she is without a doubt a better investment than Jiyan.

Why is that? It’s because Yinlin can cover more roles, such as sub-dps and support, while also giving you the choice to play her as a main DPS. Jiyan, on the other hand, can only be played as a main DPS. Given that DPS is the role that is the fastest to be power crept in any game, we can clearly see which one is the better investment and will have a better return in the long term.

All in all, Yinlin’s damage is amazing, and she brings Electro teams to a whole new level thanks to her Sinner’s Mark. She is able to clear waves of foes easily while also having decent single-target damage, on top of being able to quickly break enemies.

If you’re looking for long-term investments for your account, then Yinlin is definitely a character that you should look into if you’re going for meta and want to bring out the most of your electro teams.
