The version will bring a ton of new content to the game, but before players can experience the new things Version 2.0 has to offer, they must first endure the lengthy maintenance that will come before it!

Version 2.0 Maintenance Time
The maintenance for version 2.0 will begin on January 2, 2025, at 04:00 (UTC+8). The maintenance is expected to last 7 hours. During the time of the maintenance, players will not be able to log into the game, so consider this when planning your activities. Also note that while the maintenance is scheduled for 7 hours, this time is only a reference, and the actual maintenance may take longer or shorter depending on issues that occur. Be sure to follow the official media outlets for Wuthering Waves during the day of the maintenance to know when the game is live.
Maintenance Compensation
Also worth mentioning is that players will be compensated for the downtime that will be caused by the maintenance. This compensation will be in the form of 300 Astrite and 2 Crystal Solvents. To be eligible to receive this compensation, players must have created a character and unlocked the Mail feature before January 1, 2025, 04:00 (UTC+8). Players who have met this requirement will find the compensation reward in their mail following the end of the Version 2.0 maintenance. This compensation reward will be available for a limited time, so do not forget to claim it.

Version Pre-Download
The developers have also announced that the pre-download feature for PC users will become available on the 31st of December 2024, at 09:30 (UTC+8). After the pre-download function has become available, players can find the [New Version Pre-download] button below the [Start] button in the Launcher interface. By clicking on the [New Version Pre-download] button, the game will begin downloading the new update, and you can continue playing while the update is downloading. The entire pre-download package is about 45 GB in size, so make sure you have at least 60 GB of space on your drives before beginning to download to ensure a smooth download and install.
