Disk Drives is the artifact system in Zenless Zone Zero. By using the Disk Drives players will be able to further increase their Agents’ strength and unlock unique playstyles.
In this guide, we’ll go over just what Disk Drives are, where to get them, and more.

What are Disk Drives
Disk Drives are simply explained as the equipment system in Zenless Zone Zero. For those familiar with other of HoYo’s games you can view them as the Artifact Sets in Genshin Impact, or the Relics in Honkai: Star Rail.
Despite this Disk Drives’s interface is more similar to the Sigil system in Aether Gazer.
Each Agent can equip a total of 6 Disk Drives and each Disk Drive is assigned a number from 1 to 6, which determines just exactly where a specific drive can be placed on the Drive Wheel.
NOTE: Drive Wheel is a term used by us and is not an official term used by the game as far as we know.
Similar to Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail each Disk Drive falls into a specific Drive Set and each Disk has 1 Main Stat and 4 Sub-Stats.
NOTE: The 4 sub-stats are for S Rank Disk Drives, lower-ranked Disk Drives have a lower number of sub-stats.
Depending on its number each Disk Drive will have a different Main Stat that it can obtain, with numbers 1, 2, and 3 being locked behind a certain stat, with numbers 4, 5, and 6 having an array of main stats that they can appear as.

Upgrading Disk Drives
Similar to the equipment systems in Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail players can increase the levels of their Disk Drives to boost their stats and get new sub-stats. The system works quite similarly to leveling Artifacts or Relics, so if you have played Genshin Impact or Honkai: Star Rail you will find yourself right at home.
And yes, the grind for Disk Drives will be as tedious as ever, however, unlike Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail Disk Drives are obtained in a way that does not involve direct farming.

How to Get Disk Drives
You can get Disk Drives in one way and that is by pulling for them. Yet another gacha? That’s right. Unlike some other games where you have to fight enemies to get your equipment, in Zenless Zone Zero you pull for it.
How this works is that you will use a currency known as - Plating Agents which you will spend at the Bardic Needle to obtain random Disk Drives.
NOTE: You can obtain Plating Agents by completing Commission which will cost Energy, so you will still technically have to farm for your equipment.
You will be able to use the feature known as - Tuning Orientation to increase the chance of getting Disk Drives from the set that you want.
The system is quite intriguing, however, it is also interesting that HoYo has decided to go this route, rather than keep to the standard manner of farming directly for equipment as they have done in Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
We will reveal more information about the Disk Drives when the game officially launches, which is also when we’ll go over the best Disk Drives to farm, so stay tuned for the official release of Zenless Zone Zero later this year.
