ZZZ, or Zenless Zone Zero is the newest game from the giant company HoYoverse sometime later this year.

The game is set to offer an exciting world for players to explore and a ton of characters they can collect in this article we'll take a look at the game's energy system so that you can be prepared before the game releases.

ZZZ uses a resource called Battery Charge that functions as an energy system similar to what we see in other gacha games such as Reverse: 1999, Honkai Impact 3rd and others.

In Zenless Zone Zero energy is used for everything starting from taking up story quests, farming for character, farming for the game's relic system and much more.

This means that energy will be the resource that players will have to manage the most when playing ZZZ.

How Does Energy Recharge

ZZZ

Similar to other games the energy in Zenless Zone Zero recharges at a certain time period, allowing you to play endlessly if you just wait that is.

In the last test for the game we found out that the energy in ZZZ recharged at a rate of

1 Battery Charge per 6 minutes

This is by no means great, however, it is also certainly better than the recharge system in Genshin Impact where you get 1 Resin per 8 minutes.

And this recharge rate is also the same as the recharge rate in Reverse: 1999 that too requires energy for everything. And judging by our experience with Reverse: 1999 we can speculate that the energy system in ZZZ won't be all that bad.

What is the Battery Charge Cap

ZZZ

The battery charge Cap for Zenless Zone Zero is currently set at 180.

This was the cap that was set in the last beta and it is safe to assume that this is the cap with which the game will be launching unless something changes.

This cap is by no means high, because with the current recharge rate for energy you will actually be able to earn up to 240 energy per 24 hours. With the cap set at 180 this means that you will have to log in twice a day in order not to lose out on any energy.

While this is good for some it can be a deal breaker for others and we have certainly seen how much Honkai: Star Rail has succeeded by increasing its daily cap to 240 from 180.

For now we can hope that the cap in ZZZ increases so that we can get an even better experience, however, that will only be revealed when the game releases later this year.
