Lighter is a limited S-Rank Stun unit from the Fire Element. He is the second Stun Agent for the Fire Element, and as such will naturally be compared to Koleda. Despite this, Lighter has more than enough in his kit to replace Koleda in a heartbeat. For starters, he is able to apply Daze exceedingly well and is also able to Stun quickly, while not requiring a ton of field time, like some other Stun units such as Lycaon or Qingyi. Lighter relies on being swapped in, doing his punches, and swapping out. In addition to his low field time and easy playstyle, Lighter extends the stun duration by a whopping 3 seconds and can also boost the DMG of Fire and Ice teams by up to 75%. That’s right, 75%! This means your Ellen will be more than happy to have him, and Soldier 11 will be just as glad. Sadly, this increase is only limited to Fire and Ice DMG multipliers. Lighter doesn’t benefit any other element, so he is not as versatile as some other Stun characters, but he makes up for it thanks to his increased stun duration and Fire and Ice DMG buffs.

Lighter Best W-Engines
Speaking of W-Engines, there is no doubt that Lighter’s best-in-slot choice is his signature W-Engine, the Blazing Laurel, which even further boosts Lighter’s usefulness in Fire and Ice teams by increasing the CRIT DMG% of Fire and Ice DMG-dealing allies by up to 30%. Apart from his signature W-Engine, you can use any other 5-star Stun W-Engine, and he also has 1 good craftable A-Rank option that you can use if you haven’t gotten lucky with the S-Rank ones.
Rank | W-Engine | Effect |
1 | Blazing Laurel |
Upon launching a Quick Assist or Perfect Assist, the equipper's Impact increases by 25% for 8s. When the equipper launches and hits an enemy with a Basic Attack, apply Wilt to the target for 30s, stacking up to 20 times, repeated triggers reset the duration. When any squad member hits an enemy, for every stack of Wilt applied to the target, the CRIT DMG of the Ice DMG and Fire DMG dealt by that attack increases by 1.5%. Only one of this effect can be active at a time in the same squad. |
2 | Ice Jade Teapot |
When a Basic Attack hits an enemy, gain 1 stack of Tea-riffic. Each stack of Tea-riffic increases the user's Impact by 0.7%, stacking up to 30 times, and lasting for 8s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. Upon acquiring Tea-riffic, if the equipper possesses stacks of Tea-riffic greater than or equal to 15, all squad members' DMG is increased by 20% for 10s. Passive effects of the same name do not stack. |

3 | Steam Oven |
For every 10 Energy accumulated, the equipper's Impact is increased by 2%, stacking up to 8 times. After Energy is consumed, this bonus remains for 8 more seconds. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. |

Lighter Best Drive Discs
Looking at his best Drive Discs, Lighter mainly benefits from running a 4-piece Shockstar Disco due to the high Impact requirements of his talents and a 2-piece Swing Jazz for some added Energy Regeneration. This is arguably the best choice of Drive Discs as Lighter can use both of them efficiently and benefit from their effects.

Skill Priority
When it comes to skills, you’ll first want to focus on Lighter’s Core Skill as it is responsible for most of the buffs he can put out. After that, you want to focus on his Skill followed by his Basic Attacks, Assist, and Dodge, finally leaving his Ultimate for last. The reason you don’t want to level up his Ultimate is that you will hardly see yourself using it in place of a DPS character, but if the Decibel System were to change in the future to allow all characters to have their own Decibel ratings, then you might want to invest in his Ultimate as well!
