Miyabi has been one of, if not the most anticipated champion in the whole of Zenless Zone Zero. She is one of the original characters that were introduced in the first closed beta for the game, and ever since then, a lot of time has passed. Miyabi has gone through countless changes, both to her kit and her appearance, but now we finally have our hands on her, and it's time we learn how to build her!

Miyabi is an S-Rank Frost Anomaly Agent. Despite being an Anomaly agent, Miyabi scales with CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG. She does benefit from Anomaly Proficiency and Anomaly Mastery, but not as much as some other Anomaly characters like Yanagi or Jane Doe.
Miyabi is an on-field DPS character who relies on building up her unique Frost Anomalies. The Frost element is a unique element similar to Ice. However, unlike the Ice element, Frost triggers its own freeze state known as the Frostburn state. This is a special effect that can only be activated by Miyabi, and it scales based on Miyabi’s ATK, and it can also crit. Knowing how to properly use her Frost Anomalies and triggering Disorder effects from them is a major part of playing Miyabi. But to simplify it. You want to build CRIT on Miyabi, trigger the unique Frostburn Frost Anomaly, trigger Disorder using other elements, and repeat.

Miyabi Best W-Engines
As we’ve already mentioned, Miyabi relies heavily on CRIT Rate to be viable. However, the Anomaly Specialty currently doesn’t have any CRIT Rate W-Engines apart from Miyabi’s signature Hailstorm Shrine. This makes Miyabi a bit limited when it comes to W-Engines, but with enough CRIT Rate rolls on your Drive Discs, you can still find some great F2P alternatives for her. Below are what we recommend for W-Engines.
Rank | W-Engine | Effect |
1 | Hailstorm Shrine |
CRIT DMG increases by 50%. When using an EX Special Attack or when any squad member applies an Attribute Anomaly to an enemy, the equipper's Ice DMG increases by 20%, stacking up to 2 times and lasting 15s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. |

For every 10 Energy consumed, the equipper gains a buff that increases ATK by 2.5% for 10s, stacking up to 10 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. |

Miyabi Best Drive Discs
Version 1.4 introduced two new Drive Disc sets, with one of them being the [Branch & Blade Song] set. This set is tailor-made for Miyabi, giving her a ridiculous amount of CRIT DMG while also giving her even more CRIT Rate. Pair that with the two-piece Woodpecker Electro, and you have a free boost of 20% CRIT Rate on her.

Miyabi Skill Priority
When it comes to skills, you first want to start with Miyabi’s basic attacks, as most of her damage comes from there. After this you want to focus on her Core, Chain, Special, Assist, and finally Dodge.
