Now that the Season 2 banner has ended and Julius’ banner is slowly coming to an end Black Clover M fans are eagerly looking forward to the newest characters coming to the game. One of those characters is the Technique Attacker, Kiato. This guide will go over all you need to know about Kiato and how to build him!

Who is Kiato

Kiato is the newest character making his appearance in Black Clover M. He is a member of the Underwater Temple and aspires to be one of the Clover Kingdom's most well-known dancers. Kiato plays as a Technique Attacker in Black Clover M, amplifying his blows according to how many buffs he possesses. Similar to Julius, he is a specialist in single-target damage. Here is how you build him!

SKILL 1

Cross Slash

• Cross slashes an enemy with two swords, dealing damage.
  • Upon having a [Buff], attacks after applying 15% [Increased DMG] to yourself.

SKILL 2

Swirling Torrent

• Slashes all enemies with a rapidly spinning force, dealing damage.
  • Attack after applying a 10% [Increased CRIT Rate] buff to self for each [Buff] affecting yourself.

SKILL 3

Dancing Vortex

• Slashes an enemy with a sword in a dancing motion, dealing damage.
  • Upon having 2 or more [Buff(s)], the skill will be a guaranteed CRIT.
  • Attack after applying a 15% [Increased ACC] buff to self for each [Buff] affecting yourself.

SKILL 4

 

Combined Attack

• Performs a combined attack with your partner, dealing damage to an enemy.
  • If an enemy is taking [Continuous Damage], applies 30% [Increased DMG] to yourself before attacking.

Kiato Best Gears

Similar to other Attacker characters, Kiato does well with 3 2-piece sets, those being ATK, CRIT DMG and PEN (PENETRATION). Although you also have the choice of switching the PEN set for another ATK set, or maybe even SPD. Feel free to experiment!

The talents we have picked for Kiato are meant to boost his damage as much as possible while also boosting his survivability. Here you can see the full breakdown of his best talents.

Attack Talents:

• Increased MATK - [MATK] +7%
• Battle Frenzy - Grants 2.5% [Increased CRIT Rate] at the start of a wave. (Stacks up to 5 times)

Defense Talents:

• Increased DEF - [DEF] +20%
• Endurance - Grants [DEF] +4% and [CRIT RES] +2% at the start of a wave. (Stacks up to 5 times.)

Support Talents:

• Mage’s Blessing - 20% chance to grant a [Reduced Skill II’s Cooldown by 1 Turn] buff at the start of a turn.
• Increased ACC and PEN - [ACC] +5% & [PEN] +5%

Summary

Kiato is a good addition to the Attacker roster, and is a great single-target damage dealer. However, due to the sheer abundance of Attacker units that we have right now, especially just after S2 Noelle and Julius, nothing makes Kiato a must pull. If you like his character and the way he works in the game, then by all means go for him. However, if you do not feel strongly about him then he can be swapped for many other Attackers. Overall Kiato is an interesting character and is going to be a great addition to the Black Clover M roster.
