Important Emerald Dream Activities:

You can participate in many activities in the Emerald Dream, but some are more vital than others. Here is a quick run through all of the major things you should aim to accomplish in this zone:

  • Unlocking Dragonriding Glyphs: There are 8 new Glyphs you can find, that can be used to further improve your Dragonriding talent tree. If you are interested in the locations of these glyphs, check out our guide here.
  • Increasing Your Renown: The Dream Wardens are a brand new faction introduced in patch 10.2, and through their reputation, you will be able to purchase different cosmetics, as well as the new permanent Augment Rune at Renown 18.
  • Flightstones & Gear: Similar to the previous season, you are going to need Flightstones to upgrade your gear throughout Season 3. Most of the activities in the Emerald Dream will award you with Flightstones, as well as some basic gear you can use and upgrade.
  • Completing the Weekly Quest: One last thing you should do in the Emerald Dream is the Dream Wardens weekly quest. It's called 'A Worth Ally: Dream Wardens' and it will award you with reputation and Veteran level gear and Crests.

How to Enter the Emerald Dream?

Once you log in with your character in Patch 10.2, you will receive a quest called 'Call of the Dream', which will have you complete a few tasks in the Onh'Ahran Plains. This quest chain will eventually lead you to the new zone. Once you complete the first chapter of the 'Guardians of the Dream' chain, you will unlock your main hub in the Emerald Dream - Amirdrassil.

Once you have completed the introductionary quests for the new zone, you will be able to use a portal in Valdrakken which is located at 62.7, 57.3 on the map. This is a much quicker way to get to the new zone.

New Dragonriding Glyphs:

Guardians of the Dream brings 8 new dragonriding glyphs scattered across the map for you to find. New talents for your mounts have also been added to further improve their movement and options. Here is a list of all of the new talents you can spend these glyphs on:

  • Second Wind: Reach within for untapped reserves and instantly generate 1 Vigor.
  • Swift Skimming: Ground Skimming can now occur while affected by Thrill of the Skies.
  • Wind's Respite: After activating Aerial Halt, experience a brief moment of weightlessness as the effects of gravity are reduced for 4 sec.

Dream Wardens Renown & Rewards:

The Dream Wardens are the newest faction in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. They will be your main allies in the fight against Fyrakk during this season. Most of the activities you do in the Emerald Dream will award you with reputation that will help you unlock different bonuses and cosmetics tied to the faction. One important thing you can unlock is the new Dreambound Augment Rune which will provide you with a 1 hour stat boost - this rune can be used infinitely.

Once you start unlocking rewards from the Dream Warden faction, you will be able to buy them from Moon Priestess Lasara, who is located at 50.3, 61.6 in the Emerald Dream. The Dreambound Augment Rune costs 100,000 gold.

There is a ton of different rewards you can unlock from this faction. From cosmetics to mounts, you will want to farm up your reputation before the end of the season. Here is a list of the rest of the rewards you can get from the Dream Warden's renown:

Renown 1:

  • Standing With the Dream - You have begun to gain renown with the Dream Wardens.

Renown 2:

  • Dreaming of Riches - You may now find treasures hidden within the Emerald Dream.

Renown 3:

  • Small Dreamseeds - Speak to Sylvia Whisperbloom at the Wildling Garden to receive Small Dreamseeds. These can be used in the Emerald Bounty.

  • Blooming Proficiency I - You may now have an additional Dreamfruit power during the Superbloom event.
  • Whelpling's Dreaming Crest - Speak to Keeper Amrymn at the Central Encampment to receive 15 Whelpling's Dreaming Crests. These can be used to increase an item's level up to 450.
  • Flightstones - Speak to Keeper Amrymn at the Central Encampment to receive Flightstones. These can be used to empower equipment with Cuzolth at the Central Encampment and other item upgrade vendors.

  • In Touch With Nature - Seek out Elianna at the Central Encampment to begin infusing creatures with the Dream.

  • Drakewatcher Manuscripts I - You may acquire 3 new Drakewatcher Manuscripts for your Flourishing Whimsydrake (Back Fins, Ridged Brow, Underbite Snout) from Moon Priestess Lasara at the Central Encampment.

  • Nature's Regalia I - You may acquire useful hand armor (item level 441) from Moon Priestess Lasara at the Central Encampment.

Renown 8:

  • Blooming Proficiency II - You may now have an additional Dreamfruit power during the Superbloom event.
  • Drake's Dreaming Crest - Speak to Keeper Amrymn at the Central Encampment to receive 15 Drake's Dreaming Crests. These can be used to increase an item's level up to 463.

  • Essence of a Worthy Ally I - Your standing with the Dream Wardens allows your other characters on this account to gain 100% additional reputation with the Dream Wardens while their renown is below rank 10.

  • Drake's Dreaming Crest - Speak to Keeper Amrymn at the Central Encampment to receive 15 Drake's Dreaming Crests. These can be used to increase an item's level up to 463.

  • A Heroic Reward - Speak to Keeper Amrymn at the Central Encampment to receive an Enchanted Wyrm's Dreaming Crest. This can be used as an optional reagent to increase a crafted item's level up to 476.

World quests are now available in the Emerald Dream. Complete these quests to earn different rewards, ranging from gold, Dreaming Crests, and Renown for the Dream Wardens.

New Superbloom Public Event

The Superbloom event starts every hour. During this event, Sprucecrown, an Ancient of Life, goes around the World Tree, Amirdrassil, performing a ritual to make life bloom.

  • When a Superbloom is happening, you can see where Sprucecrown is on the map marked with a horn icon. Hover over the icon to get more information about the event.

You should aim to complete the Superbloom at least once a week to finish the weekly quest. Don't forget to pick up "The Superbloom" quest from Clarelle near Sprucecrown when the event begins.

Superbloom Quest

The Superbloom event has different phases:

  1. The Tree Rises: This phase takes around 1 minute. During this phase, you need to pick up a power from a nearby Dreamfruit, which is similar to Anima Powers from Torghast.

  2. Pest Patrol: This phase lasts around 2 minutes. You have to collect Bloom by completing various tasks around Sprucecrown while he moves to his next location. These tasks include fending off attackers and shooing away insect swarms.

  3. Growing Concerns: This phase takes about 6 minutes. Here, you must defeat attacking primalists.

  4. Seeding Chaos: In this phase, which follows, you need to dig up mulch and assist around Sprucecrown.

  5. An Unruly Storm: When Sprucecrown reaches his location, this phase begins, lasting about 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Primalists emerge from portals and attack you. You need to keep defeating them until the timer is up.

  6. A Fiery End: The final part of the event gives you 5 minutes to defeat the Superbloom boss named Verlann Timbercrush. Defeating this boss completes the Superbloom event.

Superbloom Rewards

Each week, the first reward you get is a Cache of Overblooming Treasures from the weekly quest.

The cache includes a Dream Wardens Insignia, which increases your reputation with the Dream Wardens by 1,000, a piece of gear with Item Level 441, and a Dreamseed.

New World Boss: Aurostor the Hibernator

With a new patch comes a new World Boss, which you can kill once per week for Item Level 460 rewards. You can find him by searching for an Epic World Quest icon on your map. This boss will be released at the start of Season 3. Here are some tips when fighting this boss:

  • Cranky Tantrum: Aurostor fires three straight lines, causing heavy Physical damage.
  • Players affected by Slumberous Roar will fall into a Vulnerable Slumber.
  • Pulverizing Outburst sends Ruptured Earth throughout the area.

Finally we have the brand new raid - Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope. This Raid will feature 9 new bosses:
