Choosing Between Crimson Fleet and UC Sysdef in Starfield

In Starfield, decisions carry significant weight in shaping quests and storylines. One pivotal choice you'll face is picking between the Crimson Fleet and UC Sysdef. Here's a breakdown to help you make your decision.

Starfield's questlines are intricate, and a single choice can lead you down a path that demands hours, or even days, to navigate. This is the hallmark of a Bethesda title, immersing players deeply into the game's world. The choice between the Crimson Fleet, a band of space pirates, and UC Sysdef, a police organization, epitomizes this dynamic.

Crimson Fleet vs. UC Sysdef: Who to Choose?

In the clash between these two factions, siding with the Crimson Fleet proves to be the more advantageous option in Starfield over UC Sysdef. However, it's crucial to understand the implications of each choice.

Choosing the Crimson Fleet:

Opting for the Crimson Fleet grants you access to 250,000 Credits, The Key, and a favorable reception within Crimson Fleet territory. This decision may raise a few eyebrows, particularly among your companions, but the benefits are substantial.

The most noteworthy advantage is the array of shops available at The Key. This locale harbors some of the rarest materials, making smuggling missions significantly more manageable once you align yourself with the Crimson Fleet.

Choosing UC Sysdef:

Picking UC Sysdef also grants you 250,000 Credits and the Vigilance. Your companions will appreciate this choice, but the additional perks are comparatively limited. The Key will become a hostile environment, and any Contraband missions (a lucrative source of credits) will become exceedingly challenging.

Ultimately, the decision rests with you. If aligning with the police force resonates as the right course of action, there's merit in that choice as well. As for acquiring rare materials, alternative shops across the system can always serve as viable alternatives.
