Diablo 4 Season 2 Adds Greater Rifts: Abattoir of Zir, Tiers & Rewards

Diablo 4 is about to witness the arrival of an exciting new seasonal endgame system known as the Abattoir of Zir with Patch 1.2.3. In a video shared by Blizzard, gamers got a sneak peek into this new feature, which is set to be a testing replacement to the Greater Rifts in Diablo 3. Here is everything we know about the Abattoir of Zir.

Abattoir of Zir Seasonal Event Revealed

Here's a look at the key details of the Abattoir of Zir and what you can expect:

• Race Against Time: Much like the adrenaline-pumping Greater Rifts from Diablo 3, players in the Abattoir of Zir will have 10 minutes to annihilate hordes of monsters and summon a boss fight.

• Season Journey Requirement: In order to start playing the Abattoir of Zir, you will first have to complete your Seasonal Journey. This will ensure players have strong enough characters to compete.

• Craft Your Path: Following the Season Journey's completion, players will gain access to a recipe that lets them create a Bloodforged Sigil (Tier 1) at the Occultist. As they advance through tiers, they can craft sigils for higher tiers, progressing up to Tier 25.

• Portal to the Abattoir: The entry point to the Abattoir of Zir can be found in Ked Bardu, one of the main city hubs in the game.

• Tears of Blood Glyph: Your first successful attempt at the Abattoir of Zir will be rewarded with the Tears of Blood Unique Paragon Glyph. This glyph is designed to be one of the strongest ones in the game and can be upraded up to Level 210, offering immense power to its bearer.

• Seasonal Availability: The Abattoir of Zir will be open for a duration of six weeks, launching on December 5 and concluding at the end of Season 2. Make sure to dive into the action while it lasts!

• Challenging Tiers: Brace yourself for a test of your mettle, as the Abattoir offers 20 distinct tiers of increasing difficulty, with each tier surpassing the last in terms of the challenge it presents.

• Event-Exclusive Rewards: Facing these new challenges won't be easy, as you will need to create and gear up a very strong character in order to have a chance at the exclusive reward - the  Tears of Blood Unique Glyph.

It's important to note that all details concerning the Abattoir of Zir are considered a work in progress by Blizzard. Therefore, be prepared for potential changes and surprises as the release date approaches.
