In their recent blog post, Blizzard clarifies that all characters you've created during the Season of the Malignant will make their way to the Eternal Realm on October 17th. To accommodate the Storage consolidation, players will have the chance to select specific pieces of gear they wish to carry with them into the Eternal Realm.

Seasons and Your Stored Items
As Season of the Malignant draws to a close, we're dedicated to ensuring that your hard-earned gear accompanies you into the Eternal Realm. Upon the conclusion of the Season of the Malignant, all Seasonal characters will be transferred to the Eternal Realm. All items within the character's Season of the Malignant Stash will be placed into a fresh Withdraw-Only Stash tab in the Eternal Realm. You'll have the entire Season of Blood to retrieve any items you wish to keep from your Season of the Malignant. Any items left in the Withdraw-Only Stash tab when Season of Blood concludes will be beyond recovery.
Players can withdraw these items in the Eternal Realm until Season of Blood ends, which is expected to be about three months after its initiation on October 17th. After Season 2 concludes, any unclaimed items will be permanently lost.
