Xianyun Release Date
Based on miHoYo’s official announcements, Xianyun will release on February 1, 2024 as part of Genshin Impact’s Lantern Rite festival for 2024. She will arrive alongside a 4-star Pyro character named Gaming.

Xianyun has been confirmed to wield Anemo vision and be a catalyst user. This means she will deal Anemo damage through her normal and charged attacks, with a catalyst as her weapon.

Gameplay and Kit
According to leaks, Xianyun seems to take on a damage-focused support role with some healing capabilities.
- Her elemental skill allows her to enter a special “Crane Cloud” state with access to an aerial plunging attack that can hit in an AoE.
- Her burst provides AoE Anemo damage, heals all party members, and grants a buff called “Bamboo Star” to the current active character. This buff heals them over time and increases their jumping height to boost plunging attack potential.
Some of her ascension talents also boost her plunge attack damage and add attraction functionality to her skill after using it multiple times. So she seems geared toward enabling and supporting plunge-focused comps.
