A Planet Made to Scale:

'Light No Fire' is Hello Games' newest offering, and the word 'ambitious' doesn't cut it. With mile-high mountains, continents made to scale, and oceans as deep as those of Earth, Light No Fire aims to craft a fantasy world of proportions never before imagined.

The goal, in the words of Sean Murray, founder of Hello Games, is to create an entire universe of magical biomes on a single multiplayer virtual planet.

The Ultimate Fantasy Sandbox:

The world of Light No Fire is fantasy-themed. Yes, you can ride dragons, as well as a plethora of other fantastical creatures. There also appear to be powerful artifacts, temples, and monuments built into the land itself. The oceans are brimming with life, and with the promise of further fantasy biomes, exploration in this game promises to astonish.

Multiplayer?

Light No Fire will be a 100% multiplayer experience. In fact, it would appear (so far) that there is simply no option to experience LNF as a single player. It's a gigantic world they're making, and it will take all of us together if we mean to fill it.

A Pinch of Salt:

For those who remember the launch of Hello Games' initial offering, No Man's Sky, it may prove difficult to shed one's skepticism. No Man's Sky was overpromised prior to its launch in 2016 and left many early customers disappointed by the shortcomings of its procedurally generated world, flora, and fauna. That said, Hello Games proved to be resilient, and No Man's Sky, after dozens of free updates since launch, is now largely well-regarded by the exploration/sandbox gaming community.

Light No Fire is easily Hello Games' most ambitious project yet, and with a team of only a dozen people, it may be a while until it sees the light of our screens. As of yet, after 5 years of secret development, there is no penciled release date for Light No Fire.
