LoL Patch 13.20 Datamined Patch Notes!
Riot Games

The most recent leaked PBE updates suggest an assortment of changes ranging from a significant K'Sante rework, substantial rune nerfs, alterations in the jungle mechanics, enhancements to starting items, and so much more! Even though these updates might undergo further revisions, they offer us a sneak peek into what's next for League of Legends - and it promises to be colossal!

Champion Updates:

Jax

  • Jax is introduced with ASU.

  • There are new buffs added that relate to an intriguing mechanic of catching fish. Specific buffs include:

    • BlueFish: "Fish Get! This unit caught a fish."
    • GoldFish: "Rare Fish Get! This unit caught a rare fish!"

Note: Currently, there's no clarity on what prompts the catching of a rare fish.

K'Sante Rework

K'Sante has undergone a major rework with changes across various stats and abilities. Let’s dive deep into these updates.

Base Stats:

  • Health: Reduced from 610 (with +108 per level) to 570 (+115 per level).
  • Armor Growth: Adjusted from 4.7 to 5.2.

Passive (P):

  • Ult Mark Damage Increase:
    • Base remains at 35%.
    • Bonus resist scalings of 20% have been removed.

Q Ability:

  • Base Damage: Adjusted from 50-150 to 30-150.
  • Ult Effects:
    • Cooldown reduction is now 25%, an upgrade from a mere 1-second reduction.
    • Tooltip mentions a cast time decrease by 0.08s (it's unclear whether this is a new feature or was previously unmentioned).
    • Now includes a slow effect during the ult, as opposed to the previous disabling effect.

W Ability:

  • Introduced a minimum charge time of 0.65s, while the maximum remains unchanged at 1.0s.
  • Cost: Reduced from 75-95 to 60-80.
  • Damage Reduction: Revamped to 40%-65% linearly from levels 1-18. For URF/Arena, it won't scale past level 18, capping the reduction.
  • Damage:
    • Removed the difference between min and max charge times.
    • Flat Damage: 20-100 based on spell rank, with an addition of 50% total AD and 30% bonus resists.
    • Percent Damage: Ranges from 6%-10% based on spell rank.
  • Stun Duration: Set at a constant 1.25 seconds.
  • Ult Effects for W:
    • Possibly reduces the charge time to 0.5s.
    • Damage reduction ranges from 50%-75% across levels 1-18 in URF/Arena, again not exceeding level 18.
    • Cooldown is lowered from a range of 24s-16s to 18s-12s.

E Ability:

  • No reported changes.

R Ability:

  • Damage Type: Transitioned from physical to magic damage.
  • Non-Wall Damage:
    • Base values are adjusted from 35/70/105 to 70/110/150.
    • Damage scaling changed from 20% total AD to a whopping 100% AP.
  • Wall Bonus Damage:
    • Base values are adjusted likewise from 150/250/350 to 70/110/150.
    • Scaling follows the non-wall adjustment, from 20% total AD to 100% AP.
  • Bonus AD: Elevated from a constant 5 to 15/30/45.
  • Bonus Resist Scalings: Reduced from 32.5% to 25%.
  • Omnivamp:
    • Base remains at 10%, but increases to 15% and 20% for subsequent levels.
    • Base Health scaling of 0.75% has been discarded.
  • New addition of Attack Speed: Increases to 25%, 35%, and 45% respectively.
  • Reduced Health Threshold: Altered from 55% to 65%.
  • Non-Wall Knockback: Reduced from 350 to 300.
  • Wall Buffer: Changed from 250 to 350 (its function, be it the distance to identify a wall or distance dragged out of it, remains ambiguous).

This thorough update promises a refreshed gameplay experience for K'Sante enthusiasts. It remains to be seen how these changes play out in actual matches!

Jungle:

Preliminary Note:
Data mining the recent changes has posed challenges. Multiple overlapping values in various sections often contradict one another. Consequently, it's challenging to determine which values are actively used. Therefore, we advise taking this information with a pinch of caution. There may be other adjustments that have gone unnoticed in our mining efforts.

Smite Changes:

  1. Target Restrictions: Smite can no longer target lane minions or pets.
  2. Lock-on Mechanism: There's a possible lock-on feature for epic monsters when they're within 300 units of the cursor.
  3. Champion Smite: The damage has been redefined from a varying scale of 20-160 to a consistent 40.
  4. Tier 3 AoE Secondary Damage: Amplified from 50% to 100%.

Jungle Pet Adjustments:

  1. Item Effect on Epics: Items will no longer provide damage reduction to epic monsters when they have 2 or more allies nearby.

  2. Gustwalker:

    • Brush Speed: Reduced from 45% to 30%.
    • Monster Kill Speed: Scaled down from 60% to 45%.
  3. Scorchclaw:

    • Tooltip Clarification: The tooltip now specifies that the damage proc must originate from an attack or ability. It remains unclear if this is just a tooltip update or if the in-game effect has also been altered.

Stay tuned as these changes could potentially reshape the jungle dynamics in the game.
